Costco customer sevice is the best i have ever found if only all shops were like them.

As said not all things are cheaper than supermarkets but if you know your prices you can make some savings

Im constantly surprised that Makro is still trading. The Sheffield Makro used to by extremely busy, but now its deserted.

Costco: meat is excellent as are the cakes. Not necessarily cheaper, but always better quality.

Mobil 1 (0w-): five litres for under £30 too!

Last year I needed a new Samsung 38" tv and amazon was miles cheaper on pretty much all tvs and had better warranty offers. However, waited a few months and Costco finally had a large batch of the very model delivered with a free 3 year warranty as part of the package and a great saving on RRP.

We shop there a lot and a mate of mine works in the tyre bay at our local Costco and with regards to the 20% tyres, worth remembering that they only really stock Michelins which are definitely not cheap in the first place.

Cheap if you are able to buy non perishables in bulk and for us that is:

Beer:
24x330ml Peroni = £17.99 + VAT
48 toilet rolls for much cheapness
Kitchen rolls
Salmon for freezing
Chicken for freezing
Duracell batteries
Boxes of wine
Washing powder
Car wash solution wash n wax stuff

Also their optician in our area is first rate and have used them for the last few years.

That's obviously just an example of how we save cash with them but just remember that many products can be has cheaper elsewhere and don't fall into the 'magpie trap' of buying shiny stuff you don't need.

Also when you have a card, they will post you details of offers that are coming up over the next few weeks and those are heavily discounted.
+1 on that, and their cafe bit does an 18inch pizza for 7.99!!! which you can take away if you live nearby too.

Worth it if your looking to save money on loo rolls, washing powder, and domestic stuff especially.
Very easy to get carried away in there though and buy all sorts of stuff

I've just bought one of these. The cheapest I could find one on line was £375. Got it for £225 from Costco!

Plus I get 2% of the purchase price back as an 'executive member' and I can pay with my Virgin Am Ex card so rack up some more air miles. Dip yer bread!!!!

I think CostCo are great. If you know what you are doing, then they can be significantly cheaper. If in doubt, check the price on your phone!

Apart from food and consumables, I have bought Televisions and Computers there and they were all significantly under the best price I could find on the internet and they had a five year guarantee thrown in
