He shouldn't slag off or wish death on the soldiers yet he does have a point with regards to the real victims of the disgraceful war who do not have a voice. In fact it is the British army who actively make peace and try to help the real victims so he should bare this in mind before slagging them off.
I'm thinking the individual in question basically is offended that a non-muslim military is involved in a muslim country, and this offends his chauvinism.
There's more raping going on with these child-rape-gangs but I doubt he posts on FB about how they should die.

first two seem on the face of it a little daft

One of the above is an .177air rifle and one a 7.62 rifle from any distance difficult to spot the differences. Also shooting/hunting near a primary school - if the Police had not responded in the manner they did then i would be shocked and stunned. Imagine if it was a beat bobby who approached the shooter, was then shot and the guy went onto the school...
This action taken was the right level of response IMHO and even being an air rifle the guy had no business carry an air rifle to shoot rats near a school.
as for the stupid idiot who made the vile comments about dead soldiers this seems fitting.
If he finds it against his ideology to fit in with the customs and way of life then he would be better going somewhere more conducive to his...

It might be a bad war but I'm not sure how it qualifies as a 'disgraceful' war?! The Taliban lest we forget sided with OBL when they wouldn't give him and his cohorts up after 9/11.

Agreed, if you know what you are looking at and/or you are close enough to make the distinction but would you risk it close to a school??? who knew what his intentions where.

Wrong, the Taliban asked for proof it was OBL who done it and they would hand him over otherwise they will stand their ground. That's pretty brave and I'm not really a fan of them either. Plus tdw the whole thing is about securIng natural resources and nothing more. Let's not be in denial regarding that fact.

Fast fwd to after 9/11 and it's clear the US (and nobody with any sense) is going to play the Talibans game when they deny even Muslim can be tried in secular courts. It would be stupid theater where the Taliban would each time say the evidence isn't goog enough. Bear in mind Taliban justice involved stoning women and rolling massive rocks onto gays and you claim they should be indulged!
As for resources Afghanistan isn't resource rich. It does have some minerals but as far as resources goes there are much better places.

Firearm law is pretty simple really, if you have anything that can be 'perceived' to be a firearm of any kind in public you are in deep doo doo. As you say from a distance you can't tell wether real or not so plod would treat it as real firearm.

No disrespect Kas (and I'm not point blank refusing to suggest these things may have happened from whichever army) but reports from the Guardian, Daily Mail and Telegraph I personally take with a pinch of salt. Sensationalist comes to mind with their reporting style.
I truely agree, the media always put there twist & turns in. However if you go back & look at video footage, which most sites have been banned now, then you would only understand what the truth is.
For example
Al jazeera footage - banned for showing true videos taken by British & US soldiers just for the fun of it. Little kids getting shot in the head etc. Sick stuff that would make you cry.

I truely agree, the media always put there twist & turns in. However if you go back & look at video footage, which most sites have been banned now, then you would only understand what the truth is.
For example
Al jazeera footage - banned for showing true videos taken by British & US soldiers just for the fun of it. Little kids getting shot in the head etc. Sick stuff that would make you cry.

I'm sure the footage would be readily available on the Deep Web but that place is a minefield and unlegislated.

Most video footage can be downloaded but I would not advise it unless you want a trip down Guantanamo, specially if your name is Abdul etc.
