The wire is not scrunched up it fits perfectly, this is not designed for looks it's designed to do the job. This is the same part they use on the 24hour NBR race car.

I hadn't planned on any mods - but the blitz carbon pod with red gauges was too good to resist - getting one shipped fae Japan just now.

I'm putting my perrin front strut brace on too - cos it's some more red.

And have a Tamioka Racing / Pro-R AOS to fit - as well as the bonnet scoop grill.

love the look of the clocks - very tempted.....

Mikeyw pointed out near the start of the thread he loves his Sub Cosworth and can get the dog in....
Has turned out to be a good and unexpected reason to buy it - my dogs a bit mad - if we go out in the Touran diesel chugger she runs around the house to hide???
But If the cossie is rolled out she will jump in straight away - dog with taste
Another side effect of the cossie is that my kids have started appearing from school/after school activities as if by magic, I thought this was down to years of graft to become a brilliant parent - but apparently they know I'm coming 'cos it's so LOUD
Just loving it
Incidentally can understand why reviews were 'tepid' now - its not a car you get 'instantly', but drive it for a bit, get the hang of it and... Well it's amazing
And everyone is smiling, even the dog and the kids.

There were 2 small bubbles in the paint either side of the scoop so it was resprayed. When they took the scoop out to fit my new grill paint had also lifted under it.It looks great now, even under my fussiest lighting.

Really like the grill on the scoop - was that a dealer part?

Was at my dealers today and they mentioned (in passing!!!) about taking the cossie to 460 with some Cosworth extras - they know me too well!!!

Nice one ...460 sounds fun esp if it doesnt affect the warranty

I find it Highly unlikely you'll get a warranty on 460bhp, they allready cut the warranty miles back on the cs400 from 60,000 to 36,000 as it stands now.

Decat & a fresh remap I reckon it could be as easy as that to extract that 60bhp you need if you wanted to push it, Personally i'd leave it alone.

Im sure you are right - but as I negotiated a longer warranty from the dealer then they may honour that if they are supplying and fitting the accessories....I can but ask!!

Nae been on here in a while but Buster - yer cars looking weel smart! respect! Really cool!

Can I ask a favour - if you've got the instructions for the bonnet scoop grill install, can you please scan and email me? I've binned mine and can't remember where I'm supposed to drill. DOH! Won't be home till December so no hurry, thanks!

Will you let me in on the secret for where ye got yer cossie badges too? :-)

And Salsa-King - I had my last STi originally with PPP same as 330s, then fitted CAI with Andy Forrest Remap and took it to 343bhp - would you notice a difference... CERTAINLY! It'll pin you to the seat in S#, and according the the missus it "sounds like thunder and wants to take off"... but not just in power, the CS400 stick round corners much better too. And you'll get a cooler badge on the hatch too ;-)
My mate said he could "hear it coming doon the stairs from his flat" too :-)
After my initial annoyance and sour feeling after protracted arguments with the dealer prior to purchase - I've no regrets.
It's alot less headache than my auld maserati and waaaay more practical than a GT-R.
In short - I <3 the cossie :-)

Got my gauges delivered from SRB power but never got enough time to fit, hopefully will in December. Would recommend SRB for his helpfullness, going the extra mile and quick delivery - thanks min!

This 460bhp thing is giving me a burbling boner too... any news? I'm beyond caring about warranties

Sorry I dont have instructions the dealer fitted it for me,if you wish I can take pics tomorrow and /or measurements. The badges I made them on a link off an Ebay site...search custom badges .Ive checked out the upgrade situ with dealer this week, they rang hq who said nothing available atm,but they have mentioned a Cosworth strut brace will become available in near future.

For a laugh my mate used something called Dynolicious for iPhone while I was driving earlier in the week. I'm not sure if it's any good or not. Without abusing my clutch and bouncing off the limiter, when engaging the clutch the revs drop very quickly for about half a second or so and then wham it absolutely bloody flies.

We managed a figure that makes the 0-60 claim seem quite far fetched, in fact it seems quite unbelievable unless they were running it on different tyres or a DSG box or something . It was out by a good second or so but the 0-100 time was nearly a second or so out the other way

I'm of course referring to kph, just for the record

Still not as quick as a Spec C type 25 that thing's a monster and quoted as 8.7 to 100mph.
