I suspect he'd yield long before either car was tested too much and the older car would waltz into the distance with the VTA dump valve chuffing away.

If we took two good drivers, one in a WR1 and one in an RB320 and let them have a spirited run on a good B road I think two things would settle it, the RB would pull away. Firstly the torque of the RB would give the car a significant advantage and mean less gear swapping and secondly, assuming stock tyres and suspension, the RB would have a little more grip and more importantly, the driver would have more confidence towards the limit of adhesion (superior damping and tyres) assuming it was sensibly driven. Had they fitted it with RE070s as standard it would have been even quicker those tyres are monstrous on the road (if a little unsympathetic with regard to ride quality). Things like wider tracks make a difference on track but as part of a package make the car that little bit easier to drive fast.

I'm speaking from my own experience of having driven these cars by the way, and I'm not referring to the track where I'd assume an RB320 would comfortably outlap a WR1 on any type of circuit be it power or handling type.
Oii !!!!!!!!

RADIO F O U R ?????????????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!

Forever 25 bwyty, FOREVER T W E N T Y FIVE !!!

And I'm not talking about the machine.
I'm talking about MY F*****G MENTALITY.

Give us a tawt 'fellow enthusiast' who wants to burn me up and I'll be of the opinion that they are a TAWTING CHAV and me an the car will go F*****G MENTAL on ummm.

Besides, Radio 4 don dooo AC/DC, Maidunn, Perple or Sabbuth.

Oh - and I haven't had the thrill of driving either of them.

Joking aside you have to throw a lot of money at these things to go faster, for ten grand you can pick up a newage STi and have thrown money at. You can very quickly have a quicker 400bhp car, not that the standard version isn't very quick to begin with. More stats but compared to cars that the masses regard as fast a Prodrive Bugeye (already over a decade old) would rinse a Mk 7 GTi:

0-60: 6.5
0-100: 16.0
60-100: 9.5
1/4 Mile: 14.9

The REAL deal.
In Spec C form the Type 25 in its highest state of tune is light and very powerful it would be capable as stated on the vid of a very fast 0-100mph time. But it has a terrible engine of course

I was wondering when you were going to stagger in from the pub and spot that while reading back through this thread

I was of course making the point that sometimes it matters not what car you're in but how much in the way of ***** or lunacy. I've yielded to quite a few idiots recently, a worrying number of spoilt-looking teenagers in Minis...

I totally agree, it is a great creation in my eyes. Not sure it needed to be twin scroll though I'm perfectly happy with just the one

Aye, Tuesday night is Pool night, usually more a pool of Bow than the game.
We did well tonight.
League restarts in 3 weeks, so we didn't lose

Another motto - never, EVER surrender.

Mmm - I find that two means of entry (especially if sync'd properly) adds to the fun
Right that's it, I'm off to bed.

"'ello luv"

"Hi".

"Do you know what 'twin scroll' means?"

(OP - sorry for the hijack, but I think it's run its course )

Contact patch is irrelevant if a) your co-drag efficient is sub .33 and b) you got potso cash in an off shore account. Much there is on the iterweb (URLs) about the handling characteristics of the WR1 v RB320. The issue is that the RB320 will typically not under steer due to the rev limiter (right foot) of the RB driver. Most have leather seat upgrade so that they can wipe the seats clean if any of their shopping bags fall over on the way back from Asda. Also – RB's should check this, the Michelin Corsar tyre has a directional tread pattern which was side specific – nearly 78.64% of them were fitted on the wrong side. Whilst outer nub textuals may say (left or right) it’s a yellow square on the inside wall which should have the acronym “PEN15". You can either take the wheels off and check or run your hand around the inside wall as the lettering sits proud of the tyre. If you struggle to feel "PEN15" then I'd take to a main Subaru dealership and have them look for your "PEN15". Quite a few RB's are finding they don't have one.

Please have patients with me as I'm new to Subaru's and have a lot to learn.

I would just like to thank "thenewgalaxy" for the retard comment - my legal team will be working with you on a twitter-esque slander "settle on the steps" package - I'm hoping this will pay for a full decat system and one of those magic tree 'new car scent' smellys (mum always comments on how clean the car is with a fresh one opened). For this I thank you.

If you need any more tecnica (see what I did there) help feel free to PM me.

Best WE!
Ive been pulling my rubber around today looking for these markings. I just cant find my PEN15 anywhere. Should i be looking at the front or is it on the rear? I have also tried rotating the column and checking my grip. Ive even had a play with my DCCD and gone from lock to lock. I have Dunlops does that mean i havent got a PEN15???

Can someone help me find my PEN15???

WR1, RB320, whatever.

There were/are a lot more of you but just take a look at 5th Gear:

Litchfield Type 25 Impreza on Fifth Gear - YouTube

The REAL deal.

Oh - and the 0-100 of a WR1, RB320, T20 and T25 are almost identical - if you take gravity into account - and use it .
Yes saw that episode years ago and still really like the T25
Any T25 owners out there fancy part exchanging for a very unique WR1 ?

Unless I'm mistaken the original Type 25 was not a forged build (which is why a fair few of them blew up) and the turbo fitted to them was not one of Litchfield's own products, they were developed later.

One less misconception in my head now then.

Glad I never counted beyond 20.
