yes kind of, they used to clip them pointy which made them look like a puma same as the doggo argentino, but i think it's illegal now, they were actually clipped because it's pretty much the only place they feel pain, so because they were used to keep wolves away from livestock, as well as hunt wild bore, they clipped them to avoid any pain when warding off wolves and bears.

Dog de bordeaux were on my list until i saw the slobber, cane corso are £1k plus in the uk, but this one is costing around £180 out here in croatia, and £60 for all injections including rabies and a chip.

No kc or papers, but from local lines, imported from italy which is very close to where i am, and the area was occupied by the italians, and many people here have dual nationality and family there, that said they are very particular about which dogs they breed so as to keep the lines strong and original, and this lad comes from the foot of the mountain where wolves and bears roam free, so still doing the job it was intended for.

The main cost over and above what i have mentioned is the rabies blood test, thats required for re-entry in to the uk, but i cant remember how long it is before they can do it, as it needs to be in the dogs system, and if memory serves me right it's 6 months, but i'll know more about it in a week or so when i go to the vet for injections, just want to give him chance to recover from the upheaval, and settle in before i start giving him the shots.

Probably at some point in the future he'll come to england, i'm just making sure he has everything sorted because of the time involved, sometimes i pop over to milan to see my best mate to give him a hand on his new place or just sample some city night life when i fancy a change of scenery, as it's only a 5/6 hour drive from where i am.

I bought an old farm house that i'm converting into 3 apartments for tourists, so spend most of my time working on that, and dip back into uk every couple of months for a week or two.

I know someone with a Neapolitan mastiff, I call him slobberchops. The amount of drool that comes off those doglips is amazing. We dogsit for him sometimes and I always keep a towel handy.

Abel???? opposite of Cain (Cane Corso) geddit???

There is a girl who lives near me bought one of these last summer as a pup, it was a lovely looking pup. It had a huge head and huge feet even as a pup which you could have held in one hand. Was chatting to her about three weeks ago while washing my car, at just over a year old, the dog is huge - I love how they look. She lets the dog sleep on her bed with her, wouldn't like to be the boyfriend having to break it to the dog that his bed was in the kennel.

Her dog is called Winston.

Well i have him now and what a lovely dog he is too, well chuffed, and he wasn't sick in the the car so thats good.

He's bloody huge for 11 weeks old, he's as big as my parsons jack russells, and i'm glad i got in when i did because the lad has sold two more, and said they both were interested in mine, the other best one which was a bitch has gone and also the one thats was a bit bitey for me has gone too, so i was on the money with my choice.

Still can't think what to call him, but the way he managed to escape from his pen, it could well be houdini or giant sloppy poo.

So keep the names coming.

My brother's Lab was called, Major.

Love that name (on a black Lab at least).

He had a dog called Monty too.

He also had a mad gundog - a Münsterländer - called Tarn. ****** would bark 24/7.

Why not plump for, Zebidee? After all, dogs just love to bounce! Can easily be shortened to Zeb.

Or... Hooter; Trotsky; Joyce; Niglet?
