We bought our house in Cas Vegas a month ago it was up at £230k and got it for £200k but we sold our house and was in quite a good position to negotiate. We started at £190k!

It is always good to get a good deal, but if this is your home and not purely an investment, buy what you both like and afford.

We are looking to move house quite soon and fancy another new build as we've seen a development and house style we like and also like the idea of part-exchanging our current home (no new build bashing please). The house is a 4 bed detached up at £230k (I bet that makes you Southerners sick doen't it?!?

Well after quite a while negotiating, I managed to get 107% of the average value of our current home in part-exchange, free fully integrated kitchen, turf to the rear and an outside tap (not standard features). I think we did ok!
