Absolute legend
I was really impressed with the way the three Jamaicans showed their respect for Radisha's national anthem
Whereas I was thoroughly unimpressed with the BBC's Phil Whatsisname's insistence that Weir speak to him over it

The BBCmguy doing the trackside interviews makes me cringe. Equally as bad is John Inverdale who is the biggest sycophant going.

I was pleased for the Rhyl teenager Jane Jones at Taekwondo yesterday. She has a pretty face. In her honour, a post box in Flint has gone all golden. Britain made a historical marking by winning gold medal in Women's boxing as well. The geezer from Kenya was just WOW at his 800m race. Usain was cool as ever, and so were his chums from Jamaica. You all know all that, but I just wanted to say- Well done to the lot.

In what context? That it has cost us 0.5 billion on elite athletics?

How do you measure value when it comes to medals?
Cant think of a more substantial use for that money?

Proper old misery-guts, aren't you. Tell us then, how many nights a week do you have cold beans for tea? Is the 15-year old 1.3l Skoda hatchback still running as well as ever?

Listen to yourself. Same people on here moaning about public sector waste etc now defending the spunking of billions on needless sports. It's inconsistent.
