For 270 - 280 bhp

Decent Exhaust
Down pipe
Up pipe & port headers (optional)
Remove cats
Fuel pump
Remap

Any more you will need TD05 16G or VF34/35 VF28 (what I have)
Sti top mount - version 8 just for good measure
440's minimum (will have if 1999 model)

I have 328 / 325 with this

To be honest drives nice with 270 ish. But unless you give it loads would not bother with turbo change.

BTW do the brakes and suspension first before anything. Or sell and get an Sti. Prob a better bet.

Much as above.
A 3" open neck D/P will future proof your car.
Properly ported headers and matched uppipe will make a noticable difference.
The exhaust should be CAT free for best gains and the straighter the better. Look at Cobra/Exhausts UK for cost effective exhausts amongst others. Loud exhausts are often not the best performers.
Without an FPR you will max out 440cc yellow injectors between 320 and 440 bhp typically. 550cc injectors are good to around 400 bhp.
Genuine Walbro GS341 fuel pump. If it is not stamped GS341 Walbro you do not want it as there are copies about.
The O/E pannel filter is OK but with the likes of a K+N you can clean it whereas the O/E has to be replaced regularly. Generally the pannel filter will not add more power.
93-96 cars will benefit from an efficient FMIC by 300 bhp and 97 cars onwards Classics need an FMIC by 320 bhp. New Age WRX will benefit from an efficient FMIC by 350 bhp.
If you are contemplating a turbo change get it done before a remap.
Choose your mapper well. With or without a replacement turbo you will have a fairly quick car with good handling capability.

Err well yes. I know exactly where you can get these
I don't know how far MM is but Leicester itself is under 160 miles.
