Nothing to do with the high wages and transfer fees then? I’m sure Ferdinand was about 34 million with all the fees etc. back circa 2002 which would still be huge fee for any position now a days let alone for a defender back then
and wages, van persie snubbed arsenal for £220k a week at man utd, but still not as much as rooney who is on £250k a week
Not to mention the rest, that’s why man utd are up to their eyeballs in it
You’re right on the silverware there's no way we'll win any by January

You must talk into the mirror as you're taking no notice of what I'm telling you as factual
I'll repeat as I'm nice like that. Utd are in debt only due to their owners being in debt. Would Sir like me to explain that via illustration? The medium of dance perhaps?
And if RvP's ankle goes in January, he'll still have bagged more goals in half a season than your supposed entire front line strike farce
You stick to your silverware-less streak, and we'll worry about (the Glazers not Utd's) debt
There's a good chap

The fair play rules are b0ll0cks, how long have we heard fair play rules will stop all the spending and still it continues. The like of Utc, City and Chelsea couldn't give a flying ****.
As for RVP I don't think Utd think they got a bad deal. His 1st season is far better than any player's 1st season at Arsenal where we always make the same old excuses of oh they need to settle in and oh they need to bond blah blah blah.

Utd actually turn a profit, so are already more than complying with the fair play rules.
City will of course cheat, as they already have started to, by claiming to receive a disproportionally large sponsor ship deal, from one on the sheiks 'friends'.

I listen to Talk Sport quite often on the drive to and from work and the Goonerts that ring in all say the same as you, "The day David Dein left........."
Looks pretty fractious there these days.

The sooner Gazidis and Hill Wood **** off the better and get Red and White Holdings in charge. Then Arsenal will get back to winning ways, not overrnight but it would happen.

Arsene Wenger - Walcott belongs at Arsenal, I'm convinced he will stay
Just as he was convinced with Cesc, Robin and Samir IIRC
That's Walcott gone then.....

As much as I think he is a talent and under the correct tutelage could be a very good player, but where would he fit in at United, he wouldn't, unless we swap him for Nani I cant see it hapening, even if Theo wants it.
I can think of quite a few players we should buy before casting our eyes in his direction, but if he was a free.....

That's the point though, if he does leave I think he will be a bench warmer at Utd or City and whilst financially he will be better off he won't get as much playing time. I want him to stay at Arsenal as he is one of our best players and Wenger must play him through the middle as our main striker all the time now, putting him out on the wing is an utter waste of his speed and finishing abilities that need developing to get the best out of him.

**** vs City - Attendence was reported as over 60000 on MOTD last night, the capacity of the place is only 60361.
I saw so many empty seats something tells me they're telling porkies, nearer 50000.

The Game yesterday was arsenal all over hanging on for dear life, missing a bucket load due to the 2nd rates we have now
They say we got 70 mill to spend in the summer we all know wenger will only spend 7mill and we will be in the 9th season no trophy
the problem we have is wenger is welded to that club they will never sack him and the thing is if they did who is out there to be different to wenger " who we could afford"

Attendence advised as 60079 yesterday.
It looked more like 50000 with all those empty seats, must be a lot of season ticket holders not bothering turning up, I wish I had that soirt of money to throw away

I've never seen 4th place celebrated in a fashion such as the gooners did yesterday, has a trophy been introduced or something ?
A poor display from Newcastle, certainly didn't look like a team playing for the tea lady et al.

You telling me FM you don't know how much money qualifying for the Champions League is worth not to mention the importance to the players to be seen on the biggest stage? Then of course if Wenger was to try and ever buy a big name player being in the Champions League is essential. Then there is Wenger's record of 16 straight top 4 finishes so whilst no trophy was on offer we have only come behind 3 huge spending teams with budgets and wage structures that Arsenal fans can only dream of.
For all Gooners though it was catching and finishing above Spurs to get that last Champions League place that was so important, the one thing all Gooners can be united on is not finishing behind Spurs

You telling me that the **** dont have the money to spend big ??
The Highbury flats basically paid for the Emirates, you have 60000 paying top dollar every other week although there are a lot of empty seats to be seen most weekends, also the most expensive season tickets in football, not to mention the pies !!!
Could spend big but wont and wont push the envelope on wages, happy qualifying for the Champions League and taking the cash from UEFA,Sky and their fans.

You don't need to tell me, all those points are my entire gripe with the way the club is being run by it's current board which is why I want Dein back and Usmanov buying out the club and investing like he said he would.
All the time Gazidis and Hill-Wood are there a top 4 finish is all they require every season for as little outlay as possible. They are ruining the club and the sooner they are gone the better.
