fascinating clip

he is the very definition of a psychopath

which has been variously described as characterized by shallow emotions (in particular reduced fear), stress tolerance, lacking empathy, coldheartedness, lacking guilt, egocentricity, superficial charm, manipulativeness, irresponsibility, impulsivity

like Jeff Bridges in Jagged Edge -The Ice man

thats the thing in most sports - governing bodies often know and turnb a blind eye - many dont want negative press for there beleoved sport. freinds/collegues names dragged through the dirt.
nevermind the down turn in performance, and quite likely income generation and public interest. thats why its always been hush hush in every sport.

until we get to where we are toady - a more whsitle blowing culture is accepted and encouraged.

its corruption- the same as in the police forces, goverments, banks, sports, corporations. almost every organisation at some time has been susceptable.

TBF, the same could be said of most of the human race.

Wink

according to this not only were the french "Tw@ts" not "out to get him" but were also complicit in covering up his doping

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/cycling/19954565

Also as already stated the us anti doping agency is the one supposedly out to get him.

Bet you eat freedom fries dont you Arl5555en ?

As already mentioned the French were complicit in covering up for Armstrong. Are you taking mattstant's wager?

Armstrong cleverly realised that the French Cycling authorities desire to protect the reputation of the sport, trumped their desire to expose him as cheat

Very rough synopsis, bearing in mind the program is a full 2 hours long:
long interviews/discussions with Tyler Hamilton and other pro and former pro cyclists from Armstrong's and other teams, describing how they were introduced to the whole doping scene when they first made it into the pro circuit, and going into details of the day-to-day mechanics of getting supplies, taking the dope, getting around the testing regime, etc, etc, interviews with Armstrong's former 'soigneuse' (masseuse/nurse/gofer), describing how she and other people on the periphery of the pro teams would get roped into smuggling supplies across the border, making deliveries to key stage points around the big races, etc,
discussion with various sports journalists, key people from WADA and other agencies etc on the whole history of doping at the top level from the time of the '98 Festina affair to the present day.

Very revealing, if you've got the time to listen.

thanks for that, whats meant by smugglin across borders - where were they based - sounds like a racket of drug smuggling across mexican border lol - obviously not though.
also that kindof implies they took PED's during races at defined stage pints, is that what it meant?

is that largley the role the team of medics had - or are they really legit and there to look after the athletes?

i know thats a rough description you took the time to provide - and as such a summary that doesnt explain everything. but be interesting to know these points. a 2 hour watch is too much for me.

thanks for taking the time to give that summary
