Samsung Marketing at it's finest. How you moan about Apple's marketing department and lap this stuff up I have no idea.

Think they might have missed a few things out on the iPhone side.

But all the extras on the Samsung ad are innovative extras that the 5 can't do, your photoshopped extras the S3 can do, just under a different name apart from the "very durable aluminium back" aluminium! durable!

Innovative Extra's you really fell for that ****.

Palm Swipe Capture! That's innovation right there, swipe your palm to take a screenshot, awesome, world changing, well worth putting in print and really is more desirable than a feature such as Airplay.

Samsung are desperate.

Isn't Airplay/tunes 3 years old? and don't you have to line Apples pockets even more to get access to it?

palm swipe, sorry but if that works how it sounds then thats a crap feature, my old desire hd allows me to do a screenshot by pressing the power button thus actually being able to see what you are capturing

I don't know why I bother responding to fools. Isn't RAM old? Pretty sure I had that over 3 years ago.

NFC: Near field communication let's your phone establish a connection with another phone that is touching it or very close to it. It can accomplish almost everything that Bluetooth can, but in a much closer proximity and without dealing with pairing.

Smart-stay: This feature aims to prevent the display backlight from turning off while you are looking at the phone's display. Critics have said that this feature works fine in well-lit areas, but not in the dark.

S-Beam: This is a feature available in Ice Cream Sandwich, and uses NFC to transfer data between two phones that are held closely together. It does the same thing that the iPhone application Bump does.

Share Shot: This is an easy way to share photos with another S3 owner. It lets you upload pictures you've taken to another S3 decide through a WiFi network. The iPhone's equivalent is Shared Photo-Streams, only Share Shot only works through WiFi.

Group Cast: Group Cast is designed for presentations. It lets users view and interact with PDF, PowerPoint, and image files through their phones.

Direct Call: This feature aims to know when you want to talk vs. when you want to text. For instance, if you're composing a text message but decide to call the receiver instead, you simply hold your phone to your ear and it will dial their number. (Seems silly to me)

Smart Alert: This feature activates when you've been away from your phone. It vibrates to let you know that you have missed calls or text-messages. It seems like a much more annoying version of Notification Center, BUT you don't have to manually check it-- it automatically notifies you as oppose to you manually checking Notification Center.

Tilt-to-Zoom: This feature let's you simply tilt the phone - as opposed to pinching and zooming - to zoom in on a picture or website.

Palm Swipe Capture: This feature lets you swipe your palm over your phone to take a screenshot. On the iPhone this is accomplished by simultaneously pressing the Home button and the Sleep-Wake button.

Palm touch to mute/pause: You can mute and pause media on the screen by covering the screen with your hand.
Picture-in-picture: This let's you watch a video and normally use your phone at the same time by placing the video in a popup window.

Turn Over To Mute: Let's you turn over your phone to mute incoming calls.

Shake To Update: Lets you shake your phone to update the information most apps are displaying. For instance, shaking your phone while in the Twitter app will load new tweets, etc.

Removable Battery: Pretty self explanatory. Lets you take out your battery.

Surely if the iPhone 5 is that good, Jake wouldn't have had to spend 18 pages defending it?

iPhone Vs Android

Pick the one that suits you best and stop trying to convert the rest of the world to agree with you......they won't. Just like religion.

Just like the old days of Subaru Vs Mitsubishi, some will like one some will like the other, get over it and enjoy the one you picked and stop bickering like kids in a playground and trying to justify your choice. Whats next? My dad can beat up your dad?

I spent 18 pages highlighting the great new products released by Apple.

You wasted your breath trying to justify your alternative choices.

No these are the features that Samsung feel so strongly about they're printing them in the National press. Laughable eh!

You did have 1GB of Ram 3 years ago with the Iphone, they've moved on quite a bit though, like 2GB you get with the S3!

With Android 2GB is completely necessary in order to provide an iPhone like experience. I understand that the latest version of Android is almost as smooth as the original iPhone, but that's no available for the Galaxy.

Completely agree. This was a thread about new releases from Apple. Then all the Fandroids invaded trying to convert people to their cult.

Thanks for that Jack. When can we expect a similar treatment for LG, Panasonic, Sony, Pioneer, or any other large manufacturers of electronic products? I really need to make sure I get the dates booked out in my calendar

Here's the issue, I can devote 30 minutes of my time to cover the sparse releases from Apple. I doubt anyone would have the time to cover the multiple releases per month from those manufacturers. Samsung have released 3 telephones this month I think.

You might find an App that offers similar functionality, but you'd need to run it on all of your mobile devices and your desktop to get somewhere close. The advantage of Facetime is you don't have to do anything, it just works.
