I for one will be purchasing the iPhone 5. I am not an Apple 'fanboy' and I do not wish to enter into an argument about which phone is best, but here are the reasons for my choice (which apply to my personal situation and may be entirely different for someone else):
-I currently have the 4 and find the interface is brilliant
- I wish to stick with the interface that I've come to know & love
-I appreciate the quality of engineering that goes into apple products, i.e the case machined from billet alloy, and and sections of the case matched to the closest cut before they are fitted together - other plastic phones (Samsung?) don't have this level of engineering finesse in my opinion.
-Last year my iPhone 4 completely died for what appeared to be no reason. I got it replaced at an Apple Store within hours by a very helpful, knowledgeable chap, completely free of charge. This, in my opinion, demonstrates brilliant customer service, which you can't put a price on now-a-days.
-After handling other phones on the market, regardless of their spec list, nothing comes close to the feel of the iPhone range.
Cheers,
Scott.

You're right. Bar fight!!!!!!!
People who buy Samsungs are too tight to buy an iPhone and have to justify this by slating the iPhone and saying how much better their phone is because "it has a bigger screen and even if it looks a lot like an iPhone it is in no way a copy of one, so there!"!!!!!!!

But, you can't discuss Apple around here without the idiots coming out of the woodwork accusing Apple users of moronic behaviour and that's OK because laughing at them is fun.
Benchmarks for the A6 processor are starting to appear, no surprise to me but a lot of quad core Android fandroids are calling foul play already. "how is it possible"

I don't consider myself a "fan boy" rather a 20 year IT professional who's life is made easier by Apple products and users. The day was important as some major announcements were made, this thread was intended to discuss those products.

The scores you've brought up above are part of a geekbench test if you want the overall results:
iPhone 5 - Total: 1601
Samsung S3 - Total: 1781
I don't think the scores mean an awful lot to be honest, but you might as well give a clear picture of the results if you're going to show some graphs, and the article does say:
iPhone 5 - Total: 1601
Samsung S3 - Total: 1781

However, Galaxy S3 running Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean still outperforms the iPhone 5 in terms of overall Geekbench score.

Samsung S3 - Total: 1781:
I'm sure iOS 7 will be even faster on the iPhone 5.

The iPhone is a brilliant piece of kit and well engineered and has a bit if class about it
As pointed out correctly above people who buy the Samsung just want to be different and don't want to be seen as a apple fan boy but they have to cover up their mistakes in not buying their iPhone ( maybe too tight or didn't listen as hard as school so maybe the last £100 is just to much to raise or spend )
The iPhone is a great bit of kit
My original 3GS is sitting happy with the misses and my 4s is so far advanced and works well
My other 2 works mates are always trying to justify Samsung copies to me ut go very quite when they malfunction or fall out of their pockets and break
They realise they are wannabies but just don't want to get apple products and become part of the flock
iPhone 5
Yes it will be coming soon to the Harding household as that extra cm makes all the difference

Samsung will never get this cult following and that is part of apples success
Even if they fetched out a nokia 3210 woth and apple sticker on the back it would still sell
The iPhone 5 is going to be the best seller of all times

Also no chip has ever made anything like a 100% increase in performance over its predecessor, 30% is normally a good benchmark so take those figures with a pinch of salt or be sorely disappointed later on

Delivered or not, evidently Jelly Bean is already on the Galaxy S3 and available to consumers. The newly released A6 processor is great and is truly of Apple's design. It is genuinely a product to truly showcase Apple to the rest of the industry and indeed the world of what they are capable of.....that is, their inability to beat its competitor despite the fact they are using technology from last year.......oh the tears....I can't stop laughing.....
