Dunstable Downs, right? Been there a few times to watch the gliders, amazing when they're just hanging in the air on the very ridge you were standing on.

I was there intending on flying my Paraglider, wind was too strong. There was a gliding comp on today, the take off's were spectacular, ears popping I'm sure.

If you thought it was excellent on the S2, you'd love it on the iPhone.

App updates are flying out of the store, iPhoto and GarageBand were major updates. Pages and Numbers can do new tricks as well.

In the UK it's easy to pre-order a sim free handset.

Not just my home Jack. Maps are badly out in a 20 mile radius. GIS blogs already suggesting that iOS6 maps are the worst in living memory.
But love the Clock app. World clock especially. Copied design from Mondaine of course, I'm sure Apple licenced it
Fonts in Safari look washed out. And don't even think of moving to a different tab in Safari while doing a quick reply in SN, you'll loose it...

I'm surpirised the App Store is still running. Putting the kettle on during Eurovision adverts has nothing on an Apple update. I heard they built a new Nuclear Plant in Mexico and villages in Wales were cut off to cope with demand. The whole Internet has slowed down, it's worse than a Bieber album hitting the newsgroups.

Lol, Jack
Out of interest, how much wind is too much for paragliding? As a power kite flyer, there isn't really an upper limit, just a wind range for different size canopy areas. E.g. My depower 15m kite is good for 5knots-22knots, 8m is good to 30knots etc.

Same, but I only have 3 wings, and they're close in size. It depends a lot on the site and your skill, my wing today has a trim speed of 39kph, but it felt like 20kph today and I wasn't getting it out, not with a road behind me.

I agree the new App Store on iOS 6 still needs some work. They have been tweaking it over the past couple of days as various items have displayed more or less information over the days, or different ranges of information.
