I just hope it has a decent camera as the 4 and 4S cameras just aren't good enough. My old Sony Ericsson was much better and that's years old now.
I'm also dreading the price.
I'm all for Apple bashing but the last 2 comments are personal preference. I think the newer class leading phones are too big, I don't want to carry a tablet around with me. Also a heavy phone usually gives a sense of durability.
But yeah, boo apple and their marketing!

I wonder if iOS 6 on my iPhone 4 will make it sluggish and crash like iOS5 has on my iPad 1. Built in obsolescence I think they call it. Safari randomly crashes on both my iOS devices.

Unless b4 is turned into the GM, then I doubt we'll see iOS 6 released to the general public on the 12th. Even so, I doubt there would be a public release without giving developers at least a couple of days to submit apps built against the SDK to the App Store, something not currently possible.
My guess is it'll be released when the phone is actually released, which will be 1 - 2 weeks after the announcement.
iPad Mini is possibly going to be mentioned, but there is another event in October which is said to be the official announcement of the new device (or an updated iPad 3 / New iPad)
Not too sure what the iPhone 5 will have feature wise. Rumors suggest a taller screen allowing an additional row of icons and true 16:9 in landscape orientation. Probably a quicker processor and 1GB RAM, Nano sim, and perhaps a new dock connector.
Biggest thing for me would be a decent price, some rumors saying it'll be the same price as the 4S, but I'd still like a more sensible price for a 32 / 64 GB unlocked phone, circa $600 + is a little bit over the top for a bloody phone.

I have a Galaxy S2 and an Iphone 4. I wont be buying another Galaxy due to the abysmal battery life.
The Galaxy S 2 lasts 15 hours as long as you dont use it. If you use it to take a few calls its flat before end of work.
The Iphone 4 lasts 12 hours no matter how i use it. If i dont use it it can last up to 3 days.
I like the thought and size of the S3 but how can i spend my money on it.

I think the main issue with the apple vs the world debate is how quick apple lovers jump on the new product bandwagon and make sure the rest of the world knows about the companies latest sweatshop masterpiece.

The problem is the amount of people prepared to berate Apple products should you dare say one is good.

I have a mix of products, I have 2 iPods and an iPad which I enjoy using, I think iTunes is brilliantly simple to use and I also plan to have Apple TV in my house at some point when it's built but I don't have nor do I want an iPhone, it's functions are beyond what I require from a phone, which at the end of the day, that's what it's main function is, nor do I have a Mac and I'm not likely to ever buy one as I cannot justify the cost. My phone is a Sonim Land Rover S1 and I have a Toshiba Laptop and a Custom built PC.
Allow people to make their own minds up about a product, if they think it's rubbish then fine, that's their opinion. What your replies to posts indicate is a similar reaction to that of religious nutjobs, that is to say that everyone's opinion is wrong unless it agrees with what you and what you believe, almost encouraging trolling as they know you will bite every time. People would respect you more if you just accepted that not every one cares for or about Apple products as much as you do.

I never once promoted Apple products over any other, I enjoy Apple products and am prepared to say I do. How could that be a problem?
Take this thread, it's started as a discussion on what products Apple will release on Thursday. Within a few posts a Samsung device was touted as 'better' is this what you mean but the roles are reversed?

Yes kind of, but now people are going to mention Samsung in any of your threads about Apple products because you've reacted to them in the past. Personally I couldn't care less what tech/applications does what better, as I've said before, I like devices/products to just work well as they should, I like phones to be good phones without all the smart tech and if Apple made one that was as tough as Sonim's products I would consider one but I wouldn't berate anyone for thinking otherwise - one of closest friends works for Teleperformance, Apples UK based technical support call centre in Newcastle and he, like you, loves Apple products and often talks about them but we've not once argued about it because both of us respect our choices.
There's nothing wrong at all with enjoying something, just accept others may feel differently. Ok, it was someone else who started the Samsung thing in this thread but really, did you have to reply to them? That's what they wanted you to do though you could easily have just ignored it and only replied to posts that were direct discussion.
Ignoring this "look-a-like" business, surely you can concede that Samsung are some sort of competition for Apple and that Samsung's products are in there own way, good pieces of tech as well?

Feeding the trolls is sometimes fun, a bit sick I know, but it is.
Anyhow, of course Samsung are competing with the iPhone and it's a great device. I would definitely like one as a second phone, my Nokia is hateful to use but does make a good hammer.

All physical products being discussed are computers.
Just some look like a phone
Anyway, speculation as always, but no real mention/rumour of Apple TV, the streaming box nor the actually TV set. Is it ever going to happen or is still being hampered by content negotiation? That is one Apple product I'm interested in. Phones? No.
Cheers

Apple TV is already available, they're onto the 3rd version of it. You know it's not actually a TV don't you?
