Same obvious reply as mine, maps.google.com for the very rare occasion you may want to see your neighbours dog in your back garden.

No, not at all, other than having to read your regurgitated tripe. Friends with iPhone 5's don't feel affected either, yet somehow you do.

No, not quite, Tim Cook actually listens to and apologetically acknowledges the criticisms of the iPhone 5/iOS6.

1 in 10 of all iphone5's have scratches out of the box!

So, according to Jacks calculations, that's 600,000 with just ONE fault. Add to that, the many other faults, ie, wifi, etc and were into millions!

The only way you could possibly know that is if you were behind the whole thing!

Good job!

A bet that took ages to scratch everyone?

Do any of you have a iPhone 5? I don't get what you're bitching about.

Hands up! I don't.

I don't have any phone right now. Keeping my options open but would be cautious about buying an iPhone5 with issues out of the box.

You have to remember also Jon that there is nothing wrong with Apple Maps, I never gave it a go on the iphone 5 in the shop last week and it never put Blackpool tower in the back garden of someones house (luckily it was still in Blackpool(ish)) but not near the sea.

Well of course there is nothing wrong, "it just works"......though just not how you expect it to.

Worked great for me just now, only directions to the other side of town, but it worked great. Real usage trumps Internet gossip 100/1

iOS maps all the way to Eastern France, lets see how that goes, the vector mapping should cut the data usage by a huge amount, anyone that travels knows how much the old maps chewed through.

This is a neat solution for anyone with an old style dock.

Neat?

I'd hardly call it neat. It's a mess of wires and connectors.

Yeah, I guess it does make it like a generic docking solution, but putting the phone/iPad on to of an adaptor doesn't appeal.

You just can't do it can you? Even Tim Cook has admitted it's a turkey by recommending you use something else.

OK, for your usage it may be ok, but that doesn't detract from the fact that generally, it is a failure.

It's not ready, it's not right, it's not as good as the previous offering. I'm sure they will sort it, but it's very poor.

Lots of people's real usage is not good.

Steve Jobs will be turning in his grave.

Would an adaptor even work for the Bose one on the right, being analog?

Looking at the video, it needs to plug into the 30 pin adaptor to charge and the headphone jack for sound. So even an adaptor wouldn't work?

You can't beat offline maps, but I need big boy maps when I'm off in the hills so google just won't do. Plenty of real apps in the App Store.

Very minimal data usage so far, couple of meg, good work Apple. You may have put Vernons Dog Grooming on the wrong side of the road, but I can forgive you that and appreciate the bigger picture.
