9/12 Apple Day

"The Samsung Galaxy S3 4.8” Super AMOLED screen with the 1280x720p resolution is pretty unbeatable. The iPhone 4S’ 3.5”, 960x640p display is Retina, but still doesn’t come close. better screen
The Samsung Galaxy S3 is a shade lighter than the iPhone 4S, at 133g to 140g. However, the iPhone’s size makes it more hand and pocket compatible. The iPhone 4S feels more high-end than the S3 thanks to the choice of exterior materials, so Apple has it on the design front. OK so the design wins but that is a personal taste but well done for making a product that looks good but what about function
The S3 has a Qualcomm quad-core chip (international version) and a dual-core in the US. It has 1GB of RAM internationally and 2GB in the US. The iPhone 4S has a sparse 512MB and an 800MHz dual-core processor. It’s an obvious win for the S3 again. again better
While both phones have 8MP rear cameras, the S3 1.9MP front camera trounces the 0.3MP Apple offering. The S3 also benefits from zero shutter lag and burst mode – both cameras have the same camera sensor – but the extra bells & whistles put the S3 in front.oh again better
The iPhone 4S non-removable battery is 1,420mAH, while the Samsung Galaxy S3 has a removable 2,100mAh battery. This battery gives three times as much talking as the iPhone’s, and the S3 also has support for an external micro SD card, as well as LTE and NFC, all missing in the iPhone"sorry but again is that better"
in the real world can you tell the difference the quad core makes etc may be may be not, depends on how techie you are. can you notice the difference in screen yes, can you notice the speed it loads things, yes but end of the day its just a tool to call and text people can they both do that, yes so who cares its horses for courses and I have tried both for a long duration of time and I know which suits me best
I am talking spec related / figures / power, not to mention replaceable battery, sd card, the fact you can share music and pictures a lot easier on an android phone not software needed, no file conversions, has near enough the same apps and market place, so how is it not better
what does the Iphone do better?

I have a Galaxy S2 and an Iphone 4. I wont be buying another Galaxy due to the abysmal battery life.
The Galaxy S 2 lasts 15 hours as long as you dont use it. If you use it to take a few calls its flat before end of work.
The Iphone 4 lasts 12 hours no matter how i use it. If i dont use it it can last up to 3 days.
I like the thought and size of the S3 but how can i spend my money on it.

My HTC Desire S is out of contract soon and I may just upgrade to the S2. Got to be had for £15 a month due to the S3 being out now.

I am no apple fanboy but have had a 3G and currently have a 4. Overall it feels like a quality built device which for the most part it is. Only gripe I have had is with the home button sticking which is common due to build up of dirt. iTunes does get on my **** especially with 2 of us have iPhones. Sometimes you just have no idea what will happen when you connect your phone to itunes. The monthly costs weren’t so bad when the wife was working for O2 and getting us all a third of line rental but she doesn’t work there anymore so I am loathe to pay £40 a month for a phone.
I may have to try an S3 just to see what all the fuss is about. If I can live with the size of the thing.
One thing I do like about iphones is the 2nd hand value. My 3G sold for £210 on ebay at 18mths old. Easily pays for your next handset as I personally don’t think any of these phones are built to last much more than 2yrs with daily usage.

Also just read Apple are take a polish grocery to court because their web address might confuse people.

Really?!
http://www.a.pl
Firstly, it has a sign that is similar to Apple's, secondly, it's name is similar, and thirdly, it allegedly is trading on Apple's reputation.
According to the Polish Patent office Apple has asked for the name and logo of the retailer to be cancelled.

Problem is you still need Flash for most of their content on the Youtube site. HTML5 content is still on trial and only a small proportion of their content.

The S2 is also good, not quite as polished as the S3, still a worthy handset to get and they should come down in price
Most of the guys at work have S2's and prefer them over the Iphone 4/4S.

What you fail to understand is that I don't care about bigger numbers. My iPhone does things your Android can only dream about, not because it has bigger numbers, but because it's worth developing for.

Car audio, seen a car that supports Android, nope, me neither.
Those should be enough to get you going.

Plus now that Apple have had so much success it's "cool" to bash their products.

No, I don't mean like any of those. The first two are stereos running Android and the third is some sort of cludge box.
What I'm taking about is this
http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2400846,00.asp
Just about every Car manufacturer offers similar integration for Apple and nothing for Android. Why is that?
