Should I PPP or should I tie a knot in it?

Hi Plums,
I live in the Zurich area and had my previous MY98 Impreza turbo tuned by an authorized dealer in the area. He is quite known in Switzerland and does fantastic work and maintnance. He also prepares car for racing and often goes to Hockenheim. My car was tuned to 260bhp and 374nm and was driven 189,000km without any problem. His work is also under waranty and does not void Subaru waranty as he is a authorized Subaru dealer. If interested, let me know and I'll give you his coordinates.

If your dealer is in Belgium, just whip the system off and get the old one back on, if anything goes wrong. Same with mine as a UK 99, still under extended warranty but I have a de-cat. The dealer fitted it and im sure if anything went wrong I could get it put back on. They would be claiming against IM anyway, so its no loss to them. Another chap down here has a MY01 with all sorts of mods, mostly aftermarket stuff fitted by dealer, and they pretty much said it wouldn't be a problem.
I can see why the Prodrive option is a good one, just question the cost. However, if you can afford the car, and extra 1.5k against the price of an exhaust isn't a lot. Just my opinion!

Please try a PPP'd before car you buy!
You may be expecting more, I know I did and I can't see what all the fuss is about. I've been in cars that have had lot less spent on them and they feel much quicker which is what really counts - not RR figures.
Mind you, I think the P1 is slow....Damn you Mike R/John F - I should never have ridden in your motors.

Plums,
PPP is highly rated by almost all who have had it fitted over here and is reckoned to be an essential upgrade for the bug eye.
Any dealer can fit it with in a few hours but you may need to check the dealer has the parts in first and book the car in.
Might be worth checking with this BBS first as to which dealer you use as some are much more enlightened than others and easier to deal with.
As for torque I think it is quoted as increasing to 258lbs/ft
Go for it!
oh yeah £1600 is the cost but you may be able to negotiate if you shop about.
