Yep them plugs, thats what i was told but info is very scarce on the ground. I even spoke to the fella Simon who originally designed it but he wasnt very helpful at all. Get the name/spec of your board. I have the name and spec sheet of my board in work which i can cross check for you

Sounds like a PITA conversion. I've checked the Noritake website and the next size down is 3mm smaller. Shame they went under. Might have to do some investigation and see what can be done

Its not too bad a conversion if you are handy with a soldering iron. Id a local electronics engineer guy remove the lcd board, only to find vfd didnt fit and have to refit the lcd. Was only £20 to do it

The chip pins all line up perfectly but the power pins are slightly out, i always wondered could you some how solder a wire between rather than fixed pins

It is brighter and much easier to see in bright sunlight - but iirc the monitors were about twice the price with them fitted which is why I bought the LED one. It is a blue screen as well so aesthetically I think they look better...

Wonder how much work it would be to make this one

I don't see why not - bend the pins and add a short wire

If it was me I'd solder in a couple of short wires first and then solder onto the pins afterwards as you'll be short of space under the board otherwise

Looks like someone has sent you the instructions already.

Graphical display version here: https://www.scoobynet.com/subaru-par...ubaru-pod.html

That was the very best, top of the range one. Had a lot more features than the seller advertised, 0-60 times and BHP to name a few. The screen actualy displays graphics and animations, like graphs and moving cars. They maybe features most people would never use, and most likely wouldn't work on the classics anyway.
