fuel pressures on classic engine

well i wired the fuel pump in direct, just to test it of course, and the pressure seems to be ok as far as i can tell, when it gets to the top of the revs it starts to splutter as the injectors are fully open but not mapped, so it seems to be sorted,
when i took the direct wiring off, the pressure dropped again, so im 95% sure its fixed and the wiring or relay is fooked, ill try it again tomorrow just to make sure, before the remap,
