Just give Alyn a call, customer service is superb.

I've just given Alyn a call and ordered up the 6 speed version. Looking forward to it. The only thing he did say was that on some 6 speeds one of the bushes doesn't quite fit, no rhyme nor reason, not tied to a specific year. It is rare, but has happened. Anyone had this? Alyn says if it doesn't fit they will machine it to fit which is fine, but just wondering. Sods law it'll happen to me.

no worries Lenny.........

as for the rare oddball linkage they are almost a hybrid between 5 & 6spd linkages but so oddball to not worry about and we simply modify as required as a "one-off".........

Cheers, do you advise greasing the bushes as they go in? I'm wondering about any whining being transmitted through the nylon bushes?

Good stuff, just wondering. Did you grease them before you put them in?

Quick question Alyn, how does the gear change on the kartboy shifter compare to the standard sti quickshift?

6spd STi does not have a short shift as std or do you mean the aftermarket STi q/shift linkage??

apart from the Kartboy not being remotely as expensive then i can't give you a direct comparison as i haven't driven them back to back but both quality kits.............

Alyn,
I've not had a chance to post these out yet but will do tomorrow.

Do you sell a quickshift for the classic ? I've just fitted one of those cheap eBay ones to my STI V3 and found it no different to the standard shift.
Have you tested yours on a classic ??

After the joy of feeling Frayz **** and shifter at Prodrive I so want this kit. Thanks again Frayz.....it was a dream come true touching the bomber and its owner. lol

Alyn, will be in contact again very soon. Need to get the kids Xmas present done first then will call you (more than likely in the next few days rather than waitingfor the kids presents) .

Cheers
Steve

Matty would need some pics of the exact lever you have as the early classics have 2x different versions and the early one is a pain to sort.......

whilst i'm happy to answer questions i am aware that i have no Advertiser priveleges on this board so please dont ask about pricing as i cant/wont answer due to respect for the BBS.....

cheers, allyn
