Yes they do: http://www.peugeot.co.uk/hybrid-cars-range/
A vastly superior method; Diesel-Electric trains have been like that for over fifty years, same as with ships.

And then you just get the ones that seem oblivious to the fact that they are on a motorway.

No sign of fuel being saved this morning at Goodwood!!
Soft Top Breakfast this morning .... 100's of convertibles out for the hell of it!! It was freezing when I left home at 6am this morning to make my way there ..... the sun came out and I'm sunburnt!!
It's pleasing to see so many people getting together despite the fuel costs!

I find its seems to be old cars that do this rather than "eco" or small city cars. Unless its a woman, who is terrified of driving, so sits in the middle lane and leans so far forward that her head is infront of the steering wheel, eyes wide open, too scared to blink.

I was asking myself a question after hearing this news, "how much would fuel have to be to stop my trips out to the coast on a sunny day in my MX5".
£20 a gallon wouldn't stop me ... in fact, the empty roads would make the trip all the more pleasurable.
Therefore, on balance, I would like to see the £5 a litre mark reached - it's about time the riff-raff took the bus and allowed the roads to be used by us toffs!!

The government are really greedy I dont think, they are in charge of a massive welfare system that pays better than working, a health service that costs more than they get in tax and are busy fighting wars on the behalf of the oil companies, they are incompent a lot of the time, greedy with expenses but they dont tax us to death for fun, its to pay for the services we use, over use and abuse.

Yes, but the "Toffs" would struggle to get anything done, their investments would tumble as nobody would be buying anything, just fuel to do the bare minimum, it wouldnt be good for anyone other than the oil companies.
