It expalins why is didnt get an email back from the editor regarding my advert in the final issue. They printed an old out of date one with an expired discount code, Another mistake that they made. Shame though that the only dedicated magazine to subarus has gone.

I've only ever bought one copy as I haven't had my Subaru long and I just stumbled upon the mag when on holiday six or so weeks ago. I thought it was pretty good as far as car magazines go. No wonder I haven't been able to find it again.....

Did they do Total Kit Car Magazine too?

Usually find myself reading my sons Fast Ford and Performance Ford magazines and they are a surprisingly good read with contributions from Stu off here.

If only there was a similar Impreza mag that was of the same interest and quality.

We (the finalists) should all contact each other and sort out a final on Facebook.

If we cant locate the others you and I will be the only two in it

I must admit I stuck to getting them from the shelves in the local. I read the mag regularly and it started out quite well with a few good features, but I mostly only got the later ones for Alan Jeffery's column. Went down hill after Peter Cambridge stopped his articles IMHO.

The technical features were the highlight, too many pages devoted to blinged up classics.

Yep we were pretty miffed, this come out a couple of months before me and my brother brought ours, The magazine was not bothered that they totally messed up with the whole set up either, that's when most of our subscriptions stopped, we have another 4 to add to our little dynasty now thou ;-)

dont think a facbook vote would work, as it would just be a popularity contest with friends just voting for there mates car and there was some top class cars in the final, mine is the white type r

Get them all to the NBO 30 June 2013 and we will sort them out in the ring

I always found that the TI competition was only successful for people that had loads of friends in a club
If you were a billy no mates with a fantastic car that noone had seen in the fleash you would have no chance in the earlier stages

Never pay by debit card for anything always credit card so your protected
1. Credit Card insurance only covers purchases over £100. See here for example.

2. A lot of companies add £2.50 or whatever to the purchase cost if you use a credit card. That can add up compared to the relatively few times you might want to make a claim.

I'm willing to take it over.
It's a shame to get that far and not finish it!
I'll supply trophies for first second and third.
I have no connection with Total Impreza other than scribbling on behalf of somebody called "Mr Grumpy".

I'll try and get hold of the man from Total to see how far he got, failing that, we'll work something out on my Facebook page, or here on Scoobynet.
Or both!

it does look excellent i had a look at it at santa pod a while back, love the roof on it.

saying that though ive also seen a lot of the cars in the comp in the flesh and god knows how you would choose between them.

im not sure impreza idol is fair anyway as some are self built and others have just had money chucked at them, which in my opinion isnt the same.

maybe needs two categories, self built and cheque book built.

i know, and others were built by somebody else.

neither is wrong as some people dont have the skills to build one and others the money to pay for it.

bit its a little unfair to put a self built car up against a car that somebody paid someone 50k build.

Some good points there, I spend most nights in the garage modding my car all the work is done by myself with the help of some good mates
And when I'm not in the garage I'm at work earning the pennies to buy more parts, it's a real labour of love

same as me, i havent the skills to build an engine, but 95% of the mods i have done on my own.

its a little unfair to put the two builds in competiton with each other.

maybe needs a self built catergory and a tuner built category.

great idea by alan to keep the competiton going though.

The home built vs tuner built seems to me as its only Clive's car that will suffer

Little unfair IMO. I'm all for a built not bought car, as mine is completely self built.

However, an Impreza is an Impreza no matter who built it and surely it would be up to the voters to decide???
