Comedy clubs are a good shout, lots of time in between acts to chat, and if theyre rubbish theres some common ground to complain about!
Cinema, films, bands arent a great idea, quiet time means no chat time
Laughter makes a bard moist! fact! :-) Im no oil painting, but used to punch above my weight by getting them laughing (at you or with you, doesnt matter which). now marryed to a hotty too! :-)

Someone suggested gokarting which could be good fun if she's into that kinda thing. I've been going out with my girlfriend for almost a year now, and because I live on a farm, I took her for a ride across the fields on our quadbike and then we switched
the date went really well.We also did rifle shooting together, so maybe that could be an idea? I know it's probably not your average thing, but it's interesting and something different.
I also did these above activities with my ex-partner and it went down well
IMO, if the activities are a bit different, then they're going to be interested in you regardless. What about rafting/kyacking, or going for a nice bike ride through a forest/cycle route?

Like warren said always leave room for a couple of different venues on the date, also only go bowling if you can bowl without looking like a pleb, otherwise perhaps a sport that you are good at. I took a girl to the driving range once she wore a mini skirt which was entertaining and my inappropriate teaching methods certainly helped to ramp up the sexual tension but I doubt that they were PGA approved.

Do you have any foodie events in your area - tasting event, food fairs etc? That will press all the right buttons I reckon.

take her for a meal, 3 - 6 courses non of this cheap crappy bar food with sticky tables. At the end let her offer to pay half but mention that your mum said a lady should never pay for dinner then when you kiss her good night hold her waist firmly and she will offer you in.. Then ruin her in the hall way but throw your baby gravy over her not in - babies are costly ...

Trip to the seaside if your not that far away, doss about in the arcades or something?
Anything interesting like circus or fun fair at any nearby towns? Generally try to find something thats fun and give you an excuse to laugh and joke. You'll get on really well regardless of how much of an airhead she might turn out to be???

Ha ha LOL had a good chuckle reading the replies, cheers guys ;-)
All good suggestions but alot missed a key point i made in my original post, its going to be 8pm on a thursday Night, so alot of the suggestions wont work LOL
But plenty to think about and google for her area, that the other thing, i travel to her so dont know the local places around hers

LOL,cheers, she`s still 23 but 24 next mth, so 24 sounds better than 23 haha
I have been on a few dates with a 22 yr old but that was more casual as i didnt really fancy her LOL and the age gap put me off, this one i do, so makes it more, stressful as you want to make it go smoothly, maybe i should pretend i dont like her, dates seem to go better that way ha ha

Most girls that age will probably appreciate just going to a local bar - assuming there is one busy enough in her area on a Thu... Saying that maybe best that you take her away from her usual habitat in case her mates come along for a nosey..
