more a case of ascertaining if it is running of live feeds during the run, why would the table be fixed when its just a display of the readings?

Yes of course it is, as during SHOOTOUT runs you can't disable the live feedback from the IT probe.
Chances are it's just well clear of anything generating heat due to people constantly banging on about graphs with high IT showing

Yes, which will show lower figures than if it WAS in the engine bay

Do keep up Richard. The old ones are the ones from Area 52 (the ones that give cause to Tidgy's concern). The new ones are the ones from Surrey Rolling Road further down.
