Whats all this pick on crypt week??

Dudes i am not f**kin arrogent.

These figures are from RC developments whom have been messing in evo's for a long time, clive there is a top bloke whom knows his stuff. I would rarther belive someone who I know is a excellent specialist to someone whom comes on the net an quotes me.

I will of course in future add lots of smilies to save any confusion regarding my attitude.

Evo owners who have owned these cars for the past 5 or 6 years seem to know nothing about them!!!
Just because you owned a car for a couple of years doesnt make you a specialist.

Note smileys No offence.

Crypt,
its they way you came across saying evo 4's are ****e!

i thought the owners of the same species of car(EVO)all stuck together.
save slagging off the same make as yours and keep it for a Subaru v's Evo or Cossie v's Evo thread.

Evo 4's are as good as the rest of the Evolution series 1,2,3,5,6 or 7,Because its a EVO

If u're going to get Evo4, pay attention to AYC oil leaks & also whether fluids have been changed frequently. That car was the 1st to have AYC so have to check.
Also brakes are weaker than the later Evos.

Scooby nutter, i said i was told evo 4's are ****e. Did you read my post properly? I am not out to slate ownwers of any cars dude hence none of my postings in any of those types of threads you mention. I couldnt give a crap whose car is better than whose I just know what I like and thats all that matters.

If my post seemed to slate others I apologise I love all performance cars even the cossie.

Hi Crypt, I will post up a full report when I get 5 mins.

First impressions are that the EVO is very much the better car. Ins is a couple of hundred quid more than the Scooby, Fuel is a bit of a nightmare due to the small tank.......

You are making the right move mate, amazing cars

Cheers poc.

Scooby nutter, the pipe is a heywood and scott aparently. It's not too big and is stainless polished all the way along.

Maybe silver is just the most popular colour for scoobs?? I loved me scoob but the time for change has come.

What happened to Sunday driver?.

This is his thread?. What did he decide on?.

I bought and modded STI4R in expectation of saving for a 6TME 2003/4.

Hi guys,I've been watching the thread with interest-and,guess what-I sold my MY96 wrx about an hour ago.I had it for 2.5 years and lost only £1900 on what I paid for it.It needed nothing in that whole time only tyres either.Sad to see it go but it looks now as if I can do some serious Evo-hunting!!

POC - You said in your comparisson that insurance was difficult when you are 22.... what the f*** do you do for a living to afford the cars you drive?? (V jealous!) I'm 22 and broke!! I was mad for a Scooby but couldn't really afford to run one at the moment... Think it'll be an Evo next time (hopefully a black Evo 5 - I can always hope!!)

Worth it in my book

POC - might have guessed... lots of IT people on this forum. I sense a change in career coming up!! This finance stuff is just too boring - and obviously doesn't pay as much as I need to be earning!!

Main differences from EVO4 to EVO5 are:
Increase in ECU memory
4 pot Brembos at front, 2 pot at rear (from 2 pot front and 1 pot rear)
17 inch alloys (from 16) and wider tyres
Increase in torque
Body kit

Worth a few grand extra me thinks...

Heard that the 4500 miles service interval could be safely extended (if used only on the road) to 6000 miles. Why? Because 6000 miles is the interval in Japan and the shorter one is a Ralliart UK recommendation. I could be wrong though...
