Brecon Beacons is definitely much better in Summer, but enjoy the captivating peace and the natural wonder, as long a the fog doesn't play it's tricks in this weather. Have a good time, Pete.

Don't do flasks nor picnic spots.

I'll be looking out for these Impreza's ..... they're fast, but all huff and puff - no real pulling power - not like a Diesel Turbo.

Remember that I've got 10% more cc's working away than the 2.0 Impreza's, and it counts on the real roads, in the real world.

Anyways - give me a hoot if you see me ....... I may be way in front though ...... but I'll slow if I see you

Pete,

Watch out for the police with speed cameras, usually a few around the area as its very easy and tempting to speed on auch superb roads.

That is a very poor attempt at trolling, even by your standards.

Well I've got a Civic Type-S CDTi and my mildly modded Impreza would destroy it in any real road environment. The Civic runs out of go very quickly. Great daily drive though, does good mileage, tax/insurance is cheap, it's roomy and ultra reliable (so far).

All you are saying here is that a modified Impreza will beat a standard Honda Civic diesel .... erm, I wouldn't argue with that.

But - let's compare apples with apples .... modify a Honda Civic diesel and then we have a totally different beast and will knock most Impreza's into the weeds in real road driving in the real world.

Even when it was standard it was loads quicker. And it's a UK model, so one of the slowest.

I back your remarks on all the torque etc., My turbocharged Mini Clubman D has similar performance to your machine and it does well over 53 mpg too on short runs! Goes round corners like nobody's business too-especially in the wet!

Doubt it he's in travel lodge ty,probably parading round McDonald's car park in his dirty derv telling all the chavs how wrong they've got it and racing them in thyre vtr's on the bypass!

Eggings too good for him anyway, one strategic phone call to a contact over the Gurnos and it'll just " disappear"!!

More like he will be pulling doughnuts around the competition, just like his hero Ken ****.

Anyway Rob no point arranging for his car to disappear as he will have forgotten where he parked it by the morning.
