How can they pass any comment on a car they haven't seen for 6 months. What David should of done was say the car was good when he had it but can't comment now because he hasn't seen it for a while.

I am good friends with tom (blue and gold) and although his post may come across as harsh to some of you it is simply the final straw from some appalling customer service. Totally unprofessional and unbecoming of a company with such a good, long standing reputation.

No doubt the mods will remove this to protect a paying advertiser.

I would say you've done many things to the car by your own admission:
Fitted a Decat centre section
Fitted a different backbox =Afterbuner backbox
Strut brace
Flaps
Remap
Set up of Boost controller

two of these done incorrectly are going to kiss the engine goodbye.

API have simply said they don't trust the mapper, this may be down to previous issues or fixing the results of his mapping.

How can you ask someone to recommend a car that they haven't seen for 6 months?? I know I wouldn't.

With regards to the tyres being bald. Can you confirm those wheels were on the car at the time of mot? Did you not inspect the car at the of collection??

I seem to remember the car being very cheap at the time and was priced to sell due to it's condition.

You clearly have some sour grapes with API but to jump on a forum without complaining to them first is a bit off

I said that there was no history with the car but API may have some on their records, David wouldn't have known about the flaps and rear strut brace as I have never mentioned them on here. The boost controller was in the car when I bought the it. The original Advert stated that the car had a 3" decat exhaust and that was changed to a 2.5" with a cat in, surely getting the avcr setup correctly will only help the engine? especially being as before it was set up I was running on actuator pressure

The issue between David and Andrew Carr is between them and I have no interest in knowing why there is an issue between them either.

I haven't asked API to "recommend" anything I stated that API "may have some history of the car. As for the MOT then surely that's illegal to fit a set of wheels specific for an mot considering the dangers of 2 bald tyres as well as the legal complications should I have been pulled over.

I have improved the general looks and performance of the car drastically in the last 6 months so David's assumptions are wrong

I tried complaining to them when I first bought the car about a few issues I had with it from day 1 but David was very reluctant to help and told me various things to get out of putting things right

Good on you for naming and shaming. You pay a lot of money for these cars, you expect things to be right. Then they have the cheek to bring your car down? Maybe because you have it better looking and driving better than they obv did. I had a very bad experience when I bought my car. I don't have a problem naming and shaming. My car is now 100x better than it was when I bought it.

I hope this doesn't get removed, if people wish to have a selection of traders etc then they should be able to see comments/reviews both good and bad if they pay to trade or not

Wow shocked this is still open, I have dealt with David and API and have never had an issue and would recommend him everyday of the week, I can see your frustration but the potential buyer has asked his opinion and he has given it, nothing slanderous in my book, you have tweaked the car had it mapped by someone he doesn't recommend and doesn't use all after you have bought the car from him. Sorry guys but he has done no wrong but offered an opinion.

The fact of the tyres is between you both and if it passed the mot then is the fault with David or the mot inspector for missing it! Sorry but you could be miss leading on that statement unless you can prove it

Also the copied text means nothing as you can delete and add words to any post, even by print screening it could still be changed and forwarding so please let's not get the pitch forks out quite so quickly

To the OP again good luck with the sale

The only thing you can really comment it the paint and again it will boil down to your word against his so I would suggest all the people siding with the OP I would hold fire as in 99% of cases I have seen in the stupid amount of years I have been on here the garage in question has their say and all of a sudden it swings to the other side

I'm not saying the OP is lying so please don't take any of that the wrong way,

To the OP if the buyer is still coming then it clearly has not put him of and I hope for both of you it all goes smoothly and you get the sale.

I'm more concerned about David's remarks on Andy are
& how this could arise
It's all money talk at the end of that runway
Fall outs & misplaced trust
I pray a sensible answer will provide a conclusion to this mess

Why don't you ask as to why it was remapped and why the cat was removed. The car was handed over with the original decat replaced for a catted pipe that it was not mapped to run, the original bb Fouled the rear diff, and they had the avcr plumbed in backwards. The remap was only carried out to fix a poorly api prepared car.

Perhaps if I'd gone complaining on here when I bought the car and there were issues from day 1 some of you may believe me a little more now but the fact is I did things privately and off the public forum when I had the issues the first time. I was willing to forget about any problems and dealings with api and just move on but for David to lie about something is out of order

Because I know tom and the car. What David stated about the car is totally fictitious ie lies but hey take David's word if you prefer (some of you seem to think the sun shines out of his ****).

Besides if it wasn't a lie it would still be considered as bad practice and unprofessional in most people's book.

WTF is it with people when they can't sort something out face to face.

Whilst I appreciate it's fashionable to do it publicly nowadays, I do find it alarming that people think this is an approach that will actually be of benefit..... in all cases.

Every man and his dog jumping on the bandwagon and taking part in a witch hunt is utterly pathetic.

It seems the world has come to slagging off someone with the use of a keyboard instead of contacting the problem direct?

I don't get posts like this slagging people off....

The people who know the car and have seen it will know that the car has not had any paint done by me, I did speak with prodriverules as I was thinking of having a complete respray but have decided to spend the money having a change altogether as you know

Don't take tom as a keyboard warrior I'm sure he will take it up with David in person.

So it's perfectly acceptable to stroke api's ego and have everyone jump on that band wagon but god forgive someone actually criticises them.

I'm talking about pm's on this site.... Tom's post was on a public forum, not via any pm, so not sure what you're getting at?

I can't have it out with David face to face as I can't be arsed to drive for 1 hour just to ask why he has told lies to a potential buyer, also david doesn't work saturdays and I work 50 hours a week.

If I had gone to David (as I did last time) the problem is nobody else would know there was an issue and David goes on with nobody none the wiser, and that's not fair.

Use the phone. Whats the point in these big drama posts? Did he rip you off or carry out poor quality work? no? Then who really cares about what he said regarding someone elses car?
