The RB's clocks are cool, love the initial 'sweep'..!

Just that the centre console air etc, being yellow/light green looking are a bit dull.
So was thinking of changing them all out for red, that would match the dials!

Oh right ok. may have to get either some red tint lens/plastic or red LED's!

There is a thread on it , for colour change u need to sand the green filter off and either use colour led , or keep bulbs and use a colour filter. I think ?

The dashboard bulbs are easy to replace but I tried the LEDs. The problem is there is a bluey green coating that has to be ground off. It just doesn't look right with leds.

There is a guide here...

However, with green or blue leds the red needles go dark, with white leds the colour goes bluey green, just doesn't look right or match the rest of the green illumination.

So, I've decided to keep the traditional bulbs in. You can get them from Halfords, a 286, 12v 1.2W although I also tried 284 which is 12V 2.3W and that's a tad brighter. The white LEDs were fine, but the colour was just a tad blue, maybe suits some but I'm happy with my green look from the standard bulbs.

I've got a set of white leds that I got and not using, up for grabs for cheap as chips.... pics available.

I was only on about changing the light green illumination in the centre console; heater, AC, rear de-mist & the fog & intercooler spray switches.
If I could, this would be to a red that would match the cluster!

different bulbs , same problem. The led is too bright and directional , but either a red cover over the bulbs , or the back of the panel will be your best bet.

Some type of red cover, sounds the best option.

I can put up with that, as it can hardly be seen from the drivers seat, let alone anywhere else in the car!
Just like I may put up with the clock, which will eventually be removed anyhow for a nice 3 gauge Defi pod..

Done mine today and replaced all, looks good, just working out how to light up the IC part of the switch? There is a bulb holder.
Looks like a jumper wire is needed.

On the lower section of the dash there is a plastic pop out screw on the right side where ther door closes on and two screws one by the bonnet pull and other bottom left, the top part has three clips.
Once the screws have been removed a gentle tug will see the bottom part of the dash come away.
The switches have squeeze clips, push the bottom one in while pushing the switch forward and it will come out.
The bulb replacement is as posted earler.
10 min job.

Only just come across this thread and I have been down this road myself..

Long story short just go to maplin's and buy the bulbs, however keith price Subaru were very helpful with me as Subaru don't sell the bulbs on their own, you have to buy the complete switch which on my hawkeye was £95 + vat

But fair play they had some old stock switches there and charged me a £2 for them...

As stated I went to Maplin's and bought new bulbs and replaced them all...
