I can assure you that is what I want to do.... and if I had caught him in the frst few days I probably would have had a go too! Sadly all that will happen if I take any action is I will get prosecuted as the list of possible suspects won't be too difficult to work out ... even for Plod

Funnily enough we were down the local animal rehoming centre this afternoon and met 2 lovely kittens called Teeny and Star. Not related but best of friends. We maybe back there rather soon to give them a new home

Just an update for those who remember this thread. My cat has made a full recovery, but is not that keen on going out any longer... no surprise there I guess!
And.... just heard this morning that the person who probably did it has been apprehended yesterday... sadly by the law before I got to them! They were caught doing it to another cat!!
Reassuring in a way, as it means they weren't specifically targeting you or your cat, but just as disturbing to know the sickness of some of the weirdos out there.
