As said, this thread pretty much says it all. https://www.scoobynet.com/scoobynet-...snt-sweep.html
Post #50 explains what it says in the owners' manual which IMO is the most accurate.

Its 1am and we are sat here talking about this rofl, i was always under the impression spec c doesnt sweep, or have a temp sensor. Tony i wonder if litcho initially enabled it on mine and then after battery went flat/or over time/or after remap the function went away.
Looking at them instructions it seems to mention two dials/*****, rev and trip, where as i only have the one trip as per picture (standard spec c clocks)

No. Because it doesn't have the feature at all, so there's no way to turn in on, unlike on a regular JDM STI.
The other guys with a hawkeye Spec C with this feature i suspect must've had it "enabled" by the importer or the owner. Litchfield apparently can enable it on a hawkeye Spec C.
I'm not 100% sure why or if the blob Spec Cs came with this. I'll see if i can find some info on this.

Setting Method
STI indicating needle can be set or deactivated using the method below.
1. When the engine switch is at "ON", and REV Indicator Setting **** is turned either to the right or left, setting or deactivating can be done by pushing the Trip Switch/Trip Meter Reset ****.
When this is done, the buzzer will sound and the external temperature display will change to the initial start-up display. The initial start-up mark and "ON", or "--" will be displayed.

Ok, this is for the rev counter setting and not the sweeping dials.

Your link to post 50 says Spec C don't do it which is correct but it doesn't say that they can not do it.

As I said Suberman if you have the clock that light up red/go dark when you switch the ignition off ALL these do or can do the sweep. JDM imprezas come with it all ready programed in and you can turn it on and off. Spec C needs the code for this function entered into the chip on the back of the clock that stores your mileage, dccd setting, out side temp etc etc.

Cheers,
From reading there are issues with some warning lights and not rev buzzer, has this been resolved or another method.
Mine is very late 02 STI

The rear diff light is of no use to you as your rear diff wont have the sensor.
Only thing you will loose is the buzzer sound when you hit your set gear change rev limit and as far as i know there has been no fix for the abs light but as the guy say just stick a bit of black insulating tape over the light but leave a little showing so should your abs fail the light will go off. The propper way to fix this is wire the abs circuit so the light comes on when it fails.
