Simples really, our culture has changed in this country, when I was younger it was the norm to stand in a queue for a bus,or in a shop and when sometimes when it was required I would hold open doors to allow other people to pass in front or by me, and if there was a pregnant/older person standing on a train or bus it was normall to let this other person sit down, now this has changed to nobody seeming to have any manners or being totally self centered or plain just ignorant ! I preferd it the old way.
Parents are not allowed to tell their kids off now
The Police are not allowed to tell kids off now
The public are not allowed to tell kids off now
Fecking joke.
If I ever found out that my son did something like this, there would be hell to pay!

I know two women who have had seats refused on the tube when heavily pregnant, one was told 'its not my fault you're pregnant' I forget the details of the other one but being all emotional and pregnant she ended up crying. Lovely people the British these days,

Having just read some of telboys posts I can now see how this **** happens, after all it is that womans fault for being too poor for a taxi and for being pregnant and unwell. Typical banker attitude.

Slow news day?!
Regardless of that, disgraceful behaviour of passengers. A preggers lady or indeed an old fart shouldn't need to ask for people to stand up Indication of slipping moral standards.

I heard today she got on after being told to wait for the next one and then started asking people to give up their seats, still not excusable but really people may feel slightly ambushed if she was that direct.

Not quite true not allowed to beat them to a pulp any more perhaps but probably no bad thing. Parents can, and still do, teach their kids right from wrong + teach them that consequences flow from their actions. The small minority of "chavs" mustn't put a downer on what is mostly a well behaved and virtuous population.

I find living in the West Country has many advantages and one of them is that most people still live by the old standards of helpful and unselfish behaviour.
Good to see you upholding those far superior attitudes to life in general.
