theres no wonder your hitting the limiter if its only set at 7450.it wants to be atleast 8000rpm.i had mine set at 8000 on my old sti8 with standered heads and it was revved to that a hell of a lot of times and there was never any valve issues with mine.

Going to see if the rev limit can be increased when JGM maps the car in Jan. 8k limit in 1st gear would be perfect.

Only if 6 speed throw was like V3 sti 5 speed throw....

How would it launch if you set L/C limit to 4k in place of 5 gives you 1000 rpm more to play with?

Best way, I could rev mine to 8.5k but Simon's advice was no point revving that far just causing extra wear and tear unless you're trying for a 1/4 time. I will be mapping at SRR in Jan too for nos and c16 fuel

Ye there is no point revving that far, I just want a slighly higher limit in 1st. The rest of the gears are ok.

Maybe we might bump into each other, samosas all round mate

Change gear quicker, 1.7bar isn't that bad but if your going to constatly bounce it off the limiter I see you needing a new valvetrain soon.
