So today I set about masking up and painting some vht silver on the block, took a while but worth it given how much cleaner it makes the block/heads look!
Then installed the sensors and breather/water pipes.
Next I changed out the plugs which I re-gapped to -610mm before fitting and last but not least I put on the act flywheel and clutch kit.
After doing that it was time to put the motor back in it's home, not the easiest job on your own lining up the engine/gearbox to make sure you don't damage the release bearing or friction plate but it went home after a bit of jiggling...............and swearing lol
Got the matrix pipes plus catch can pipes back on along with starter motor and pitch mount at which point I put the bonnet on again not the easiest job on your own and threw a sheet over the engine to finish on the car for the day.
Then I started to reassemble the inlet manifold,Injectors have all new seals and I also changed out the little filters in the top of the injectors, must say it now looks soooo much better than it did and that was all time allowed for today.

I'm really happy to see how it's all coming together and at a pace as well.
The engine looks great with it's fresh coat of silver paint, you've definitely earned a KFC box meal with some extras thrown in.

Some news is that the screen still has no delivery date and they can't even offer a JDM non lightweight screen as an alternative either.
Rest assured that myself and the lady from Autoglass customer services are on first name terms.

Thanks Glenn.
I wish that was the case but Subaru Japan haven't got any either, they are on back order with the manufacturer as are the standard JDM screen as well.

I'll be picking up a set of 18'' Prodrive PFF7's on Saturday and dropping them back to Ryan, they need a refurb and I'm considering what colour to go with.
I'm considering gold, gunmetal/anthracite or dark bronze any other choices spring to mind?
And yes I did have a set of these on my car when I bought it but they were powder coated white and you all know how much I like white wheels.

You are right Gaz they were a bargain and too good to pass up.
If the powder coating hadn't of blown on the PFF7's I had when I bought the car then I would have kept them, they just required too much work to bring them back to scratch plus a further acid bath would probably have left them looking like a piece of Swiss cheese.
As for the colour I am having a think on that one, a high gloss gunmetal is the favourite at the moment.

They are very nice but with what I have spent recently they would have been a used set and they are as rare as rocking horse poo, besides I want a custom colour anyway so I don't see much point in buying new in order to paint them.
To be fair Ryan is not too bad with the crayons, I've yet to see a bad job of his, he re-did my BBS wheels and they were a considerable improvement over the first job (that he had no part in).
More wheels than Imelda Marcos had shoes?
Only the one set now Glenn and they are on the car at present.

You never know Kev, I am not saying no but I think I already have the best gold wheels in the BBS's on the car at the moment and I do like a gunmetal wheel as well.
Plus a really 'custom' one off colour may also be in the offing.

And the news on the windscreen is that there is still no stock available and no delivery date, you wouldn't think it would be so hard to get hold a piece of glass.
I've already told them that I won't accept another incorrect screen being fitted so they had better beg, steal or borrow the correct screen.
