Well after a little further thought on the matter I've decided to go with an SC46 twin scroll turbo, I've had a niggling thought about how the SC50 would perform on a JDM 2.0 engine.
I've no doubt that the SC50 could make the 500bhp on my engine but I didn't want to ruin the driving experience to achieve it, so it'll be SC46 still with a meth map which should achieve up to the magic 500bhp but without sacrificing the acceleration and spool of the twin scroll setup.

I'll make a decisive decision soon, possibly that is.

I wouldnt pay too much attention to the numbers (I don`t), but its the shape of the curves that appeal to me
Like I commented the other day, I`d be interested to see what the 50 is like, but I didnt want to loose the driveability...Hope it all goes well Ty. Im sure you will enjoy it....

Thanks for the RR graph Cliff, it must feel great on the road as it'll spool earlier on the road.
That's firmly made my mind up that going for the SC46 was the correct decision.

My Simtek (as was) is now with Martyn @ Enginetuner who is sending it off for the Alcatek firmware upgrades to be carried out.
It's all getting closer, it's been a while now since I've driven her so I'm looking forward to driving her back from Enginetuner after it's all been mapped with all the new features enabled plus the anti-lag, launch control and flat floor shifting and nearly forgot about the Toucan display with it's touch screen functions.

Everything is on stop waiting for a custom SC50 (with a modified cold side to aid spool) to arrive.
It's having a few more bits and pieces done such as an updated FPR, ACT clutch and flywheel plus quite a few other improvements to be able to handle the increased power.
I'm as anxious as anyone to have it back on the road, but patience is something I've learned to embrace when waiting for parts from the USA let alone one off or prototype manufactures.

Liking the sound of the upgrades Ty!
500 should be quite entertaining on the road, the last time I went in it at 400'ish seemed quite plentiful.
This needs a run, and where better that the nurburgring via the autobahn.
Would be good if you could join us, just keep July in mind, no set date in that month yet though

I'm curious to see how it'll perform on a de-restricted stretch of Autobahn but just like UK motorways you'll be slowing down and speeding up in traffic. Would it meet it's gearing top speed with around 500bhp?
I've always fancied a trip to the Nurburgring and there were a few on here talking about it before, perhaps they'd like to come along?
