We were in the very fortunate / interesting position of being the very first two cars in to the Dartford Tunnel after it had been reopened following a brief closure, cue a rolling start from 20 in second gear to whatever the speed limit is in the tunnel . Nothing between the cars, not even half a meter difference, neither car even started to pull ahead momentarily.

Cue a second attempt - still no difference!

What was your peak torque Dan? Mine was about 280 lbs ft.

my peak was/is just over 275 @3750rpm ish. Peak HP is 251 @ 5500rpm. Is quite hard to tell because of the scale, ill try and get my graphs uploaded at somepoint.

I know for dam sure ill be getting her serviced before the next one, who knows there might be a cheeky de-cat and map involved.

They look good together
Must admit the mud flaps do look good was having second thoughts but mind made up now.
As I was in front most of the way home, missed the fun
Still good day and good to meet new faces.
New exhaust and map to come as soon as possible.

Either way, looks like you all had a great time on the first of many ESOC events.
At least nobody came away with a blown motor or any damage.
Ill just personally say a big thank you to Bean for organising the day and helping to ensure it all ran smoothly.
Well done guys,

AFR? graph

You ll see the previous one is 2bhp more than yesterdays and considering its been mapped and changed a bit something is afoot
Anyhow it seems my engine can rev over 8k
yeah seems they didnt set the rev right and as such the torque figures will be lower than they should be.

Fans, strapping, environmental factors that are input (i cant see them clearly on the graphs) all play a key part in the DD results - they dont all produce the same results in shoot 44. Not knowing eurospec dynos I cant say whether high or low but it seems everyone was down. graph looks better on second run but happy to take another look at it for your matty if you are concerned

Looking on google it appears pretty common that Eurospec's Dyno comes out a little low. Maybe that's an excuse for another Dyno day in early summer :P

used their dyno when mapping a couple of subarus for them.

It reads lower than some..

clearly the gearing has not been entered correctly on Matt's P1, which will influence the rpm shown on the graph and the torque, power should be unaffected by that.

This is why I didn't bother with going to Eurospec RR day, if another day gets organised at a better place like srr I would be up for it

Cheers Duncan
Im not overly bothered, it might have a tweak later on in the year. Its just strange how standard, aside from air filter and exhaust, in the first graph it came in 2 bhp higher than now, with a front mount new fuel pump remapped raising the boost, hey ho.
Many thanks to Al for arranging it and everyone who came to be deafened and frozen to death

tbh it isnt usual for dyno operators to wear det cans - it is only if you have a mapper present such as simon or me (or any of the other mappers on here) that they have them on.

I don't really know what this proves, means or shows, but below is a very rough overlay of your graph (bright red line) and mine (pale line).

Very similar if not identical lines, just mine is a little above yours. Wonder if I actually had more power than you or it was just a difference in how they recorded our individual cars??

I have no idea about the history of my car, a 2005 Blob Eye but the only physical modification I am aware of is the Vortex Afterburner back box.

My ears still hurt from that evo, it was just far to loud.

I think Eurospec have a good enough set up compared to some 'tuners'.

Did a Fiesta ST dyno day at Hayes Eng. in Erith and put my STi on at the end of the session and said they rig det cans for all turbo cars. They also provide AFR profile on all cars.
I did suggest Hayes for this session but the one used seemed to be prefered

Ed mate , You have a nice example mate

With all the history you have with it , sounds like the car has been well looked after by it's previous owners , and well loved too

Plus what a bonus getting that number plate with it

Looking forward to seeing what mods you'll add to it in the future
