Sorry Martin, but I can't see what you are getting so het up about. If Les and I (both reasonably bright chaps who imbibe knowledge from plenty of sources I like to think) have reached roughly the same conclusion then may be there is some truth in it.

You can stomp your foot and call us whatever you like, but we are both entitled to opur viewpoints and I can assure you that mine hasn't been arrived at in some sort of kneejerk moment, but over a very long time spent watching a political system fall apart (IMO of course).

Of course you are entitled to your opinion. Just as I'm entitled to point out that you are wrong

I suggest that you look back at my posts so that you can see whether I do in fact favour a particular political party. You might get a surprise!

Do you actually understand the meaning of the word "Apolitical"?

Les
Why is it that pulling you up for your musing is always 'scraping the barrel'

And yes I do know what apolitical means and I know that you cannot be all the conservative views that you do.

Let examine this in detail shall we

Where do you stand on...

The E.U.
Capital Punishment
Climate Change
Abortion
Immigration
Law & Order
'The good old days'
Welfare
The previous government
The previous, previous government

Be interested to see your apolitical way of answering these

btw I'm not saying that there is anything wrong with holding a POLITICAL view, just stop trying to pretend that you are the honest broker by pretending to be apolitical

The sad thing is you seem deluded enough to actually believe that.

I am fully entitled to respond if you accuse me wrongly which is what you have been doing of course.

I have been saying for a very long time now that I will support the party which will do best for this country. When you say I am not apolitical let me tell you straight that you are quite wrong.

Yes of course I have my own views on all those items that you quoted but there is no point in saying what they are because we all know that you will use those answers to assign me to a political party regardless of what I say.

I do take exception to your accusation that I am dishonest particularly with regard to my political views. That is a pretty unpleasant thing to say and you have no proof to back it up either.

You often appear to have a weird set of opinions which bear little relation to what has actually been said.

You can't get out of it by using that attempt at a fiddle. You know you said I was not being honest!

I have of course answered those points you mentioned in previous posts except for the "previous previous government" which I cannot remember mentioning, but I really can't be bothered to list my answers for your convenience.

You will have to do some searching to get them.

If you look up the meaning of "scraping the barrel" when it comes to answering a post,it will all become clear to you.

simple answers to simple question are the way forward for me, put yourself in the poistion of a mp. and assume you wanted to feather your nest,
any way you can think of will of allready been used .for instance
home flipping
expences
etc but heres where the big money is SHARES
how can i as a mp influence the profits of a company i have shares in therefore lining my own pocket, ?? oh i know
AWARD THEM GOVERMENT DEPARTMENT CONTRACTS AT SILLY PRICES(our local mp dick harveymust of awarded the contract to supply the mod light bulbs at £26.00 each that you and i can buy in tesco for £1.00
ALLOW THE FREE ACCESS TO A VERY CHEEP WORK FORCE(open the immigration floodgates)
AND FINALLY JUST TO TAKE THE P1SS ALLOW THEM TO REGISTAR HEAD OFFICE ABROAD SO THEY PAY NO TAX IN THE UK LIKE NESTLE.
the expences scandal was just a cover up to divert attention from the real fiddling
