So they've (hopefully) scheduled it to show after the first Top Gear.

If it's as elegantly balanced as the first two, it should be really good. I don't envy the editor.

I have been waiting 4 weeks for Colin's programme, so I really hope the BBC show it on the 27th - or any day SOON.

Hear hear.

Some of the best TV I've seen for long time.

The BBC really did hit upon their Inform. Educate. Entertain. mantra.

As at 17/01/2013 confirmed on the BBC website:

Sunday 27-Jan-2013 22:00
BBC HD

Racing Legends Colin McRae

Episode 3 of 3

DURATION: 1 HOUR
Olympic hero Sir Chris Hoy tells the story of Britain's first-ever World Rally Champion, Colin McRae. Along with Colin's father, Jimmy, himself a five-time British Rally Champion, Sir Chris visits the scenes of Colin's greatest triumphs.

From exploring Colin's roots as a Scottish trials bikes champ to driving the route of the Dakar rally over the dunes of the Sahara desert, Sir Chris will re-live McRae's career and be trained to drive sideways by another big fan - American Rally Superstar Ken Block.

Sir Chris's final challenge will be to swap his push bike for a monster Subaru Impreza world rally car on a rough and ready stage of the RAC Rally, the home of Colin's famous 1995 victory.

Yep, it's in the Sky planner - it's just crept into the '7 days in advance' schedule. I've set it to record already.

Can't wait.

Totally.

The whole co-driver/driver thing really bakes my noodle! The driver must possess almost the same level of cognition as a Chess Grand Master, I'll wager!!

I trust, for your pains, that you dragged her out of the car and gave her a damn good fingerblasting?

She is indeed.
Though in that McRae clip posted, she could do with losing a few pounds from the midriff

Shes always been a porker though. Don't see the appeal myself and she's pretty dim too.

I wouldn't be bothered about her being dim for the purposes of what I want.

I was looking forward to watching Colin's program when it appeared in the Radio Times listings at Christmas.

Delighted the BBC have decided to show it on Sunday

TG episode includes:

Clarkson attempts to build a car that is smaller than the Peel P50 and then tests it out on the streets of London before pitching his concept in the Dragons' Den.

May puts the Bentley Continental GT Speed through its paces by taking it on a rally stage.

Hammond drives the new Pagani Huayra.

Golden Globe-winning Homeland star Damian Lewis goes for a spin in the Reasonably Priced Car.
