Should be a return address on either the packaging itself or the shipping paperwork

And PayPal should be able to get involved regardless of if they have been delivered or not, if he has sold you goods under false pretences then the goods should be "not as described" through PayPal, have gone down this route before and they took my side with it

I'm sure if you wrote a proper email of complaint to them explaining it from the start with copies of the emails attached then I'm sure they will do the right thing and get it sorted as they are clearly not as described, especially if hey are damaged and can not be used for intended purposes, i'd be playing hell with PayPal if this is not the case as how the he'll are you suppose to have trust in a system that's states its their to protect you yet they are not interested in such an open and shut case in my book

I just called paypal now, they have told me they will contact me for to see what happened,so i will send all conversations and photos of coilovers.

If this guy does not answer or does not want to return my money,i will have to take legal actions and denounce it for fraud.

The address of shipping paperwork is different to that it has putting in his Scoobynet's profile.

Thanks guys.

Yes go back to paypal, item's not as described, and if that fails, steve, einstein will pay him a visit along with a few others i'm sure, it would not be the first time a scooby meet has been arranged at someones house 20 or 30 cars on their road has a way of making them pay.

We don't like rip off merchants.

After getting the heads up from a friend that this thread was here, I thought I'd say my piece.

Firstly, after 2 pages of 1 sided 'opinions' , i doubt i'll be flavour of the month.

Bit of background, have a wrx blob, enjoy the forum, break the odd newage car in spare time. attended a few local meets including duno day a few weeks ago.
Not your usual scammer activity. Always ask as goods payments on PayPal for buyer and for my own protection.

The coilovers in question were part of a car which i bought from a scoobynet member as a donor car for my wrx. in his for sale ad, he mentioned it had tein monoflex coilovers with the EDFC adjustment. low and behold once removed, the sticker at the base confirmed they were monoflex. Yes they were used, but in good usable condition. the items pictured in this thread are NOT the ones I sent.

Initial thought of buyer saying he was angry was disappointment, but once a PayPal dispute was opened against me I was able to translate the buyers comments which immediately made me realise something wasn't right. Completely over the top description of broken everything on the coilovers. My onlyl thought was extreme damage in transit, as I wrap items very well.

I provided detailed and sufficient proof to PayPal in relation to this case, INCLUDING PICTURES which I had ready for a for sale advert. and they told me not to refund any money and the case was closed. Yes it seems harsh, but until speaking to a friend with legal experience I did not comment further. Meanwhile The buyer said he would name and shame, which he has.

I have sold many parts to many people from here and eBay, the odd minor issue on eBay once in a blue moon, always willing to help though.

I'm an enthusiast, trawl this forum for hours on certain days, other days literally just go to my breaking ad or send a quick pm. I genuinely didn't know this thread was here until today.

And as for the guys hunting for me, I will more than likely be at most local meets in the near future.

I look forward to your replies

Andy

Always 2 sides to the story and good to hear your's Andy.

Clearly if the items in the photos are not the items you sent then everything reads more than a little differently. I would imagine that the OP will say that they are the ones you sent - then it just comes down to who's telling the truth and not the easiest thing to prove from either side.

Post the photos of the ones you sent and then at least you've provided the same level of proof as the OP.

Not hunting anyone mate, there was an offer made to collect monies if needed to as fairly local.
As usual there's 2 sides to every story.
Are you saying that the damaged items shown it the pics are not the ones you sent?
Is the op having a bit of a laugh here?

Also just to add, I am not doing this to continue selling, I will be solely on eBay from now for the better buyer / seller protection. That's not a dig at anyone here just covering my own back.

So what you're saying then Andy, is that the OP received your good condition Tein coilovers in Spain and just happened to have a set of sh*tty damaged Teins the same, but in poor condition, took some photo's of them and then tried to scam you through PayPal?

photo's from your paypal dispute would certainly strengthen your defence. Surely the non salted roads in Spain couldn't have rusted even a Tein suspension so badly.

i highly doubt the op had a spare set of buggered teins sitting waiting for someone to sell him a set of the same ones..

and you say yourself you told him they where a different model from what he actually ended up getting.. so how did he know what model he would end up getting sent and that they would match the ones he has taken a picture off and are broken? lol

post your pictures of the ones you said you sent. remember its easy to find images that you have taken from google lol

It seems incredible to me what you're saying, you know perfectly well these are all that you sent to me. I've bought things before in this forum as well as other others and I've never had a problem. You could ask other sellers, I've never had any complaints. This person however is a scammer and a liar. If you're so honest, give me your address and tomorrow we'll talk in person in England.

I think from there should be a rule on scoobynet for sale threads that there must be pic of item for sale. Especially for items e.g. over £50

Andy if u post the pics of the ones you sold then it shouldnt be a problem and will comfirm one way or another whos telling the truth.

For once it nice to see various members on here trying to protect and help others who may have been scammed, its went on for far to long on here without scoobynet giving a toss.

What's your Ebay I.D. Andy?

Please allow people on SN to have a look at the goods you're selling via Ebay and the descriptions that accompany them.

This will enable people here to decide for themselves whether you're being genuine about the condition of the items you have up for sale!

Ok watch this:- 'I bought some tein struts in good faith, picture showed they were in mint condition. This is how they look '

Seller comes back with 'I sold these to him, there was nothing wrong with these I sold'

If I can do this in 5 mins, you can see this is not black and white at all. Who is right, who is wrong?
