Just remember theres always 2 sides to every story and its very rare that both sides account of the story are identical!

The only thing that disappoints me (apart from the needless insults being thrown around) is the condecending and belittling attitude towards Time attack, drag racers, sprints and hillclimbers - because its not 'racing' Well it isn't racing and thats why there is a seperate section in the MSA blue book for the hillclimb/sprints/drag - its recognised motorsport and the cheapest form hence its popularity (and competition).

What is also bizarre is the inference that any tuners that haven't been racing can't profess to be 'experts'!! because I'm sure Scoobyclinic have entered and done well at time attack, have a drag car for TOTB etc. Another point is about 'so called tuners' is that you can only be considered an expert by reputation and results. Many of the tuners contributing on that 22B thread are Time Attack Pro champions, Ten Of The Best overall champions, Hillclimb champions/ record holders, 1/4 mile world record holders etc so to suggest in one sweeping statement that they are not experts in thier field is, well, bizarre.

Another point. There will always be customers having a bad experience with a tuner, irrespective of who that tuner is - it happens to all of them. Sometimes it spills onto the forums where its all aired in public - a lot can be taken from how the customer and tuner presents themselves thats for sure. If you were to delve back into the SN archives, you'll find a certain Scoobclinic and Daz davies having a right spat over a gearbox, I'm sure a few things said then were at heated times and with hindsight they wished they hadn't been said!! Rings true on the 22B thread I'd wager.

Another + 1 for the scoobyclinic and Kev himself. They have never given me any reason in the slightest to doubt there knowledge or customer service. In Fact they have always bent over backwards to help me out, Even sent a recovery truck on a 50 mile round trip after one phone call to Kev. The car was sorted with in the day and returned to me that afternoon.

My car has been looked after them from new in 1999 and is a credit to there skills from body work to the 2.1 build and Pats mapping skills are 2nd to none ! I would not take it any where else.

Top bunch of lads !!

It was a zero sports turbo back system.

Too put it mildly it was a dog **** system. The sports cat had collapsed and the 2 inch restrictions in places were a joke.

I Cut the cat and the restrictions out and the improvement was dramatic.

Justin, just for the record my fallout with Scooby clinic was nothing to do with a gearbox. It is also water long under the bridge. Kev and the guys there have been incredibly helpful in sorting out my issue. The offer of lending me a turbo and offering free use of the dyno was incredibly magnanimous considering our history. I am also extremely grateful to them.
