CK1 @ THE RING - Video Clips!!!!!!!

WOW! That is awesome footage, your car is screaming through those turns. Did your car get airborne off that crest?
Steph, can I get a copy of that tape when its done from you? Tell me how much you want for it and shipping to the USA.

Believe me, that wasn't a scared "fecking hell", that was a TOTALLY gobsmacked "this is the best ride of my life, I can't believe we just got air while the car was crossed up" kind of fecking hell.
If only we had videoed the whole lap, it was awesomely quick (even by Stef's standards and was timed by Neil in the front seat at 8:17 - not bad for three up and quicker than my ride out with JF - 8.35 with gear selection problems) and you would have heard many more amazed "I can't believe how quick we're going" type expletives. Having someone in the back actually settled the car down and gave it more grip in most of the corners, thus improving the lap time compared to being one up.
His rides are not to be missed and after going out as a solo passenger on my first time round, I persauded him to let me go in the back when he was taking someone else out just to get another fix of addrenalin with a ride with someone who knows where they are going. Unfortunately it is just too quick to learn anything from as you end up too engrossed in enjoying the "rush" and looking at the speedo to take in any of the corners. It is easily better than anything Alton Towers has to offer and is the best roller-coaster ride EVER .
Rest assured I will be the first in the queue next year, as I want to be in the car for a sub 8 minute lap. Stef will hopefully be coming back with more power next year. I can't wait!

Blimey mike, we did an 8.35 with those gear selection problems??? LOL
I nearly stopped 3 times on that lap trying to get the damn thing in gear.
Next time i am gonna get a clear lap, got to find what the thing can do.
Come on stef, get ck1 at the ring 2 out soon m8.

I can't believe I equalled my best time with three people in the car!!!
The car definitely felt more stable though, so I can see how it could happen.
Lots of passengers required for the next trip then!
John.
It will take a while, but it WILL be worth it.

Stef,
repeating what everyone already said... the in car footage is amazing, and great voice commentary too
My money is in the mail for video #1 .... and I eagerly await #2 (DVD would be great).
By the way, as I'm planning my first trip to the Ring this spring/summer, when will you guys be there next? I'd be happy to catch up and add to the ballast in your car for a few "instructional" laps I am planning to travel up from Italy with a few other people (911 996 and MY00 Scoob), and perhaps a few other modified Elise owners from Monaco.
