All wrx's should be done in 3rd gear IMO.

I have no experience of TRL dyno as to whether it is right or wrong but yeah graph looks decent Busta, if a little wavey at times which is unusual on the older DD software even with a skewed key on the graph to poss try and make it look smoother. No idea on how they strap down, what environment conditions were like on that day, why they ran in 4th gear etc (this does have an effect on power shown as dyno operators/owners will explain I am sure).

I do know that SRR is pretty much a benchmark dyno in the country though so I am comfortably with the results good or bad from there being realistic to what is really the case. In PJ's case they showed nice figures and without wanting to fuel your flames which you seem to have for me I cant comment on yours apart from to say if it was still in that spec get it to SRR to see what it would produce there with Charlie strapping it down and operating.

Anyway - enjoy your car PJ

Hmm does that mean my car would of made more in 3rd?
And surprisingly a diffrent comment to last time when you were quick to mock it (possibly cos you didn't map it).
They always use 4th gear, don't know why, you would know better than me on that one.
As guessed there's always a blame on dyno somewhere or another, wonder if you mapped it, then would the comment be the same?
So please next time when someone posts stating a figure, try not to be obnoxious and say 'a road dreamer' it dosent do your attitude as a MAN any favours.

P.s I ask again, what software/rom do you use on Opensource map?
Regards

Duncan mapped our wagon on SRR and must admit we are always been pleased with results, although we are don't expect 490bhp,but we are been surprised

Hopefully Duncan later on will be again mapped our wagon with new spec and looking forward on that

Great result PJ and Duncan

Quick question,if you put it back on srr under the exact same conditions (hypothecaly) would you be confident it would put out the same numbers again ? Without touching anything !

Congrats to the op on the result btw,if you went from standard to that it must feel like a vast improvement

Let's make this clear, I never digged him, he digged me first, with the comment of road dreamer, I just replyed back.

And the question is a genuine intrest, if he dosent want to disclose that then fair enough, he will say himself.
So please think before you speak

No need to get the claws out.

Duncan's comment was no doubt due to the amount of dreamers who claim 300bhp from their TD04 powered WRXs, when in fact, as you're aware it's a rarity.

The whole point of the thread was to say it was the highest power Duncan had seen from a TD04, and also the highest SRR had seen. There's no need to jump in a thread to say you've seen as high a figure "narneenarnar" so to speak, as you've done. Just acknowledge the achievement

That's totally fine then, I just thought cos I've achived it, then I got doubted on it with a cheeky comment,(as dunc did the same when i put graph up ages ago,was mocking it then) so you can understand my frustration when he replyed and thought if you can give, should be able to take it back and move on that's all.
And I wasn't aware it was a record for dunc or srr until later in thread when people made it clear, just saw the title and went from that, I didn't just big myself up and also said Martyn achived that figure also
And fair play to pj that is good what he got and congrats to them both, just didn't appreciate the neg comment I received, which happens a lot nowadays.
So in all I would like to appolagise if I came across like that, but I have a manor in speak with respect and you'll get it back

And?
Good and bad experiences should be accepted in all traders, it can't be good all the time.
