Why all the bitching , shouldn't people just appreciate the good output gained from a td04 and feel pleased for the op. He probably left feeling high as a kite and please with the results after spending his hard earned cash and people just wrip into him putting him on a downer.

I was over the moon. I thought I would get about 280-285bhp tops.

Watching the screen 267, 281, 287, 292, 296 then 298.5 I nearly fell over.

All that counts is I am a happy bunny

Tbh nobody has mocked the op at all, well not me anyway.I'm happy he got that figure.
I just replied to a well known mapper in the same way he replied to me end of, and for sticking up for myself I get shot down, by all the lovers , after all we are all human and the same, nobodys better than the other.

I so wish i could be there mate but i'm in croatia till easter, but can't wait to see the result.

I recon you should start a new thread listing all the mods and see who guesses the right bhp/torque and how many recon it will go pop.

That's anyone's guess tbh, how longs a piece of string scenario.
Mine lasted about a year with no issues and was still pulling strong until I got used to it and went to the next level.

I think the TD series are meant to be a hardier turbo. I suppose it depends how it has been treated prior to bumping up the boost.
