Read somewhere that if you fill up empty 2l bottles of coke etc with water and leave them with the lids off the cats will rub against them, then knock them over, spill water everywhere and itll scare them etc. But would only work if you had a yard/drive, cant see it working on your lawn, or being worth balancing bottles on your car.

Cat trap?

Cat are a bit intelligent, and once caught will not wish to return.

Hose pipe.
No harm done to anyone, simple, and they get the message very quickly.
No need to harm other peoples family pets really.
There is reasearch that shows that people who harm animals have a tendancy to move
on to vulnerable adults and children.

Kid's kicked a ball against your car?
No problem, just follow your natural instincts, lure them in with sweeties, and give them a good beating perhaps?.

Unless you're standing in the garden all day with the hosepipe in your hand (oh-er), that's not really practical.

I don't think any of the posts suggesting harming the cats are anything other than jokes, I sincerely hope not anyway

Horses and dogs are generally out in public with a human though, cats are not.

Dont get me started with these pile dropping *****

Last summer every sat/sun we had about 5 horses comming onto our estate "all ridden by young females" They would go past my house to visit somone just up the road but they would leave piles of shyte everywhere,
After a good few months of this and several complaints with no sucess my neighbour had finaly had enough,. Armed with his spade he scooped a huge pile up and walked up to the house launching it at the bay window followed by a few more piles

Lets say that stopped it

Yes it infuriates me, especially when its left on a corner its like a ****ing ice rink in the wet then!

Also when the horse is scared of the scoob when im in neutral freewheeling past them and bucks the rider off, if its scared of cars dont bring it on a bloody road! -.-

Back to cats i feel the owners should be responsible for cleaning up the mess, if it crapped in my garden id be getting the owners round to clear it up

My neighbours ****ty cat always craps in our front lawn right outside the front door. Stupidly annoying when walking the dogs as they near enough walk in it every time.

I would happily shoot the fooking this with a BB gun or poison it with anti freeze. YES i would do this,..... awaits the crap.

However, a quick sprinkle of SCAT A CAT does the job just as good. It's the owners fooking kid who plays curby with a socca ball that is stupidly hard... Off the wall and into the cars everytime! Yes I would happily slam his head in the car door but he looks like a downs syndrome.

In all honesty I don't see why cats should be allowed out unsupervised to

1. Kill birds and small mammals for no reason other than enjoyment

2. Sh*te all over the place, especially on my lawn

3. Damage people's paintwork

4. Leave said dead animals on and around other people property etc etc

I know people will disagree but tbh if my dog walked onto someone's property and shat out a log on their lawn I recon they would complain instantly so I wonder what would happen if I let the dog on there for a turd everyday?

Only a moron would let a dog wonder the streets all night doin it's business and killing everything that moves so why should cats be allowed to?

It's not the cats that's the problem it's the owners, on a positive note I've heard that smearing Vaseline covered in chilli powder on your car where they insist on walking works well as cats are really clean so if they happen to put a paw in the mixture they automatically stop and lick it off, make an effort to get a decent video for YouTube though, if people think it would be wrong for an individual to smear a harmless mixture on they're own car I would hope they would see fit to keep their cats indoors.

Regards

Mick

It's too much effort for them to get a horse's head into your bed.

Try it and see. In fact why not smear it all over your car? Should make cleaning it fun later!

On a serous note, yes, it is frustrating but cats are (semi) wild animals and as such roam free. Whilst they may have an "owner" it's only because the cat chooses to stay. "My" cat ***** in my garden because he's a lazy little **** so you're not alone with the problem. lol

We've got 6 cats, 2 of which are pedigree Maine Coons. We've only got a back yard but its of decent size so we built some framework and made smaller individual panels and meshed them over so cats can't get out over the yard walls.
We do this as we don't have, nor want kids, our cats are our family but we realise that not everybody likes cats & I wouldn't want one of my cats crapping on my neighbours garden or scratching their cars, vice versa if their kids were doing the same to my property (maybe not the crapping, although you never know these days, but certainly the scratching) then I'd be out giving them punishment. It's really just our way of protecting our pets & keeping them safe as best we can.

And although a lot has been said in jest, you give my cats bleach or something similar & I'll do exactly the same to one of your loved ones, seriously.

I just love these cat and horse threads, everyone gets so serious.

I do however agree that cat owners on the whole, like their pets, seem to think they have cart blanch to do as they please without concern for others thoughts or feelings.

Having had a pond full of carp decimated by neighbours cats i'm no fan, and if i had taken the eye for an eye approach i would of ended up in jail, but a couple of jack russell's soon solved the problem.

If they were pooping on my lawn i'd just collect it all and return it to the owner via the letterbox every morning until they got the message.

And if they were on the car i'd set the dogs on them.

At the end of the day it's the owners responsibility to make sure their pets don't become pests, so i suggest you have a word and if that doesn't work then become proactive, but don't do any physical damage like shooting or poisoning because you will get in trouble, and thats just cruel.

P.S my dogs never caught one they just scare the crap out of them.

These ungrateful & selfish creatures are attracted to the warm engine bay.

Our hands are tied I'm afraid, as any Impreza owner chasing after a cat is likely to be persecuted by the local Council (and the media), before an EU Directive is issued to ban all Imprezas from Europe, unless converted to a horrid Hybrid, or a lame LPG - with only Front Wheel Drive!

Tbh it's just a tolerance thing.

Cats can be a nuisance, but so can dogs and kids. I have two cats, but don't want any dogs or kids and I find other people's dogs and kids annoying.... I don't want to harm them though which is what sets me apart from some of the idiots on this thread.

People just need to chill the f**k out and learn to give and take a little.

And do they still some back after getting chased?

You need to ambush them, set one dog off from the front, and the other from the rear - that ought to do the trick

To the OP , Mate an empty coke bottle filled with water (lid on) and leave them out in prominent places does the trick. It acts as a mirror and the cats get bigger as they approach it scaring them in the process. No harm done! And cheap! My in laws do this with their house in Italy. Loads of cats (and a local cat lady of course) but they never seem to go past the bottles. No poo either :-D

I tried the bottle tricks and just found it surrounded by poop! Lol.

Came home from training last night and there were two bloody great felines sat on my drive.....just sat and looked at me when I pulled in.....cue jumping out the car like a bat out of hell making all sorts of noises/waving arms and legs around! (and almost pulling a hamstring in the process!)

Going to try the noise things and sprikler systems I think.

Wouldn't harm them though- at the end of the day it's somebody's pet and someone out there loves it. Problem being they can come from far and wide and you rarely can tell who the owner is! Second problem is- even if I told the owner- I don't think there would be anything they could do about it either!

Owing to the fact you can't really 'walk' a cat- they need out for their exercise and that's just the way it is.

Need to try outsmart them- surely can't be that hard.....or can it? Haha.

Good luck

They're fairly intelligent though, and generally if they get a good scare, then they'll probably not return.

Since we got rid of anything soil on our front garden so all there is is tarmac and grass, we don't have a problem with turds anymore (not exactly pretty, but its neat and functional).

But what I'm really getting pissed off with (litrerally) is the wheels of the cars stinking of cat ****.

Can't exactly cover the wheels with lion poo, can you?
