I think the majority of us wouldl ike thieves to get their just desserts!

Yes, but i doubt you'd get everyone to agree on what those 'just desserts' should be

Hot needles up under the finger tips and toe nails whilst submerged in a bucket of salt and vinegar mix whilst you heat the bottom of the bucket with the blow torch and pull out their teeth one by one with the pliers

Have you lot not even watched the BBC interview video? Jesus christ. You all seem very quick to make a judgement.
The van apparently tried to reverse and them both over (two attempts) as the farmer tried to block the exit. He also had the shotgun on him already at the time because he was using it for pest control.
A ******* £100 fine? £100? How on earth is that going to deter any burglar from attempting burglary again? It should be more like £5000. That would soon make them think twice.
I sometimes wonder who's side you are on.

a group of gypo scum where caught near me, taking sheep, the local farmers where on standby and all phoned each other, lights where seen in the fields, so all the locals blocked the local roads(all single carriageway) with tractors and caught/rounded up the gypo's beat the crap out of them and sent em packing then burned and then buried thier van, thats the only way to deal with scum, and before you all cry bull**** it happened in knowlstone in devon and the gypo's came from taunton, and i was told by a rarther large farmer who you would just not pick a fight with even if you had a baseball bat in your hand
Spot On,proper justice for a change.

Nah I wasn't referring it to everyone, just the first couple who seemed as if they hadn't bothered to watch the interview and simply glanced at the webpage instead. Why? Maybe I should have made that more clear in my post for fear of offending you Les?

The guy who tried to run the farmer over was not prosecuted Im guessing?
So, despite te fact you had the farmer and his mum (whom I'm assuming are of good character) saying this guy tried to rum them over still the offender was not prosecuted?
As said, more to this then reported in the press as always.
