Well they finally arrived at 2pm on Friday afternoon...after I paid 30 bucks to the government for the privilege of importing 4 tiny bits of rubber with writing on.Dealer fitted them for us same afternoon.Hopefully my rear end will be as clean as a wet wiped bum now.

I ordered something from the US (£60 worth) the other day, it arrived via UPS within a couple of days!
Then about a week later, I get a letter from the courier saying I owe them 1/2 the price of my purchase in import tax!!!

Yep 20% VAT, £10 admin charge (*****) and some duty!

They are trying to make it as difficult, time consuming and expensive as possible to import things so you buy them from one of the abundance of manufacturers in the UK Welcome to rip off Britatin where extortion rackets are legal and run by the government and the EU!

It's usually a good idea to include your telephone contact details with the delivery info. This way customs can phone you and you can pay over the phone rather than faffing about waiting for letters.
