any point in a tax disc?

Yes all understood and I was thinking that you could treat the situation as if you were using a motor bike. You could get a 'bike tax disk holder which does give more security to the tax disk.
I ride 'bikes and I do carry the tax disks and so far have not had one stolen.
I was interested in what the magistrate might say, trouble is they usually are pretty "short sighted" in such cases only being able to see the letter of the law.
There have been a few times when I have been sorely tempted to pass such a remark to a magistrate but managed to resist since they have this habit of doubling the penalty using the excuse of "contempt of court"!

But I am sure plod are not interested and I rarely park it anywhere
I have so many other priorities and calls on my time that I just dont have the inclination really
I happily take the risk tbh

I could les, I could create a secure tax holder and bolt it to my car, and if I believed they were actively perusing the failure to display I prob would
