god its ugly with that front and rear wing. i know its going to be fast but i think it should be made more to reflect a highly tuned road car rather than a one off prototype . the old car was beautiful , that thing looks horrid with its f1 wings stuck on it

But that's the whole point, it's a race car which will be used in a professional race series not a show/road car. Function over design
of course its a show car. i prefer my engineering to look beautiful aswell as being functional, thats where the skills are at rather than bolting big wings on to it

Given that this car is being made by RCM rather than Halfords RIPSPEED I suspect it's more than a case of just bolting on a big wing
obviously but do you get my point, they ve had a good go at making look like a ripspeed special
Don't get it at all - there's engineering and there's art, if the 2 happen to coincide then great but I am an engineer and if it works I tidy it up but I don't spend time tarting it up to look pretty

er no it isn't a show car at all. Do you even know what RCM achieved with the last gobstopper in the TA series? This GS2 car is a full on race machine and built to the highest standards. Just because the wing isn't aesthetically pleasing doesn't mean it isn't doing the job it was designed for.

As has been said it's designed for a purpose, which I think goes beyond UK time attack.
GS2 is beautiful and functional in its many guises.
Here's a winning World Time Attack car for comparison....................
