Hmmm this is getting interesting, when asked if the P1 was owned by Keith@ScoobyProjects the seller answered with this 'Am not sure person on v5 says David lock'. That would be David Lock off Scoobynet who helped develope the broquet fuel pellets used in the fuel tank of all P1s if I'm not mistaken.

Yes I am involved as distributor for the Broquet catalyst which was tested by Subaru themselves some time ago. They arranged for every PI and higher spec Scoobs to have Broquet in the tank as the catalyst improves the combustion properties of fuel allowing safe use of a lower octane and a modest economy improvement (confirmed by Bob Rawle). If anyone wants to discuss please contact me - details on website.

Although many others were ripped off by this mob it was The P1 Owners Club that suffered.

6 P1's needed to be scrapped and sold as parts. (these were the owners pride & joy)

One P1 was never found.

A P1 shell was sold to 3 different people.

I know of one P1 owner that lost £30K+

The list goes on and on.

The new company has also failed I believe.

We will inform every forum if any of the persons become involved with cars again.

Can you shed any light on the history of W441 GRS?

Sorry Maz I cannot provide any info whatsoever. I read through the thread and it sounds a pretty depressing story all round. Sorry for those who gut stung.

The P1 in the ad had a change of keeper in December 2012. The registration plate also shows to have been changed at some point.

It certainly is, she talks the talk but whether she can back it up is another thing. It seems alarmingly cheap to me but it may be genuine and just looking for a quick sale. The amount of people that are getting ripped off on there makes me think otherwise though.

So it's got an SC36 turbo but Bob Rawle - admittedly one of the most respected mappers - managed to get an "estimated 400bhp" out of it, running on a single map, "Tesco 99".

Sorry - I should have said "but allegedly Bob Rawle......."

"If it sounds too good to be true, it probably isn't".

Female selling it - easy prey for the macho guys who'd buy something like this.

"What do women know about cars anyway?
I bet the stupid cow doesn't realise how much it's worth.

I can have an absolute bargain there
."

Seems like a classic scammer's ploy to me, sorry.

Massive bump to this thread.

Following a PM I've recently received I've done a bit of ferretting around and it's interesting to say the very least.

I'd appreciate it if anyone who had dealings with 'Scooby Projects', Keith Rigby and/or Adam Harber would PM me detailing:

  • what work you requested and the rough date(s);
  • if you paid up front (and whether you lost out);
  • what you've been told (and by who) when you enquired about the lack of work and loss of money;
  • any documents such as letters, invoices etc. (I'm mainly concerned with the letterheads, name on invoice etc. I don't need the actual docs or a copy of them - yet).
Shaid - you have a PM, thanks.
(Please note, Shaid has not been in contact with me, I simply want a bit more info re. the bankruptcy).

Cheers.

Following further (revealing) investigation could I ask anyone who lost money to let me know if they have registered themselves as Creditors with the Official Receiver following Keith Brian Rigby's bankruptcy, Case 20 of 2013 in the Hereford County Court?

Unfortunately due to timescales this does need to be done quite quickly, so perhaps if anyone knows of someone please pass this on to them.

Thanks.

Probably says it all.........................................

(On my 'ignored list', but Mr Clever Clogs would clearly want to come over as 'Mr Know-all-about Subarus' (though he doesn't have the cash to deal with anything higher than an STi) nor his Fanny mate ( who drives a poxy Merc 55 ???????????').

Well, there's a pair well met.

'Never was' and 'could have been'.

Well, you pair never were and unless you pair your resources you'll always be............ er. jealous, lacking, and er.... wanting.

Sadly Keith came to a local meet of mine 5 or so years ago. He explained how he was ripped of eligibly by a scooby specialist.

He explained how this sparked him into starting his own business to protect them from rip off artists !!!!!!

Well look How things have turned out. Who's the con artist now

IMHO

Hi Tony.
Not the best of threads to meet again but yes - who is the villain of the piece ?

Er .... and 'his' business wasn't protected.
The one he started was though - if he and Adam had done it properly.

And imo they didn't.

And in a few month's time we will see.........................

Wee update...

Most of us ripped off folk were sent letters by the Insolvency Service stating Keith had no assets and only had £500 worth of fixtures and fittings (which Adam along with the pool Subaru Legacy made sure he got his hands on first by stalling customers with false promises).

The investigation by IS came up with nothing, we were all sent a letter stating he has zero assets.... so get stuffed.

The police don't seem to be interested either. So chapter closed really.

Not necessarily so (although I don't want to give anyone false hope).

There's an anomaly in the way business was conducted during the last few months before Mr Rigby's bankruptcy ie. between Aug 2012 and Feb 2013.
Obviously I can't comment openly but I'd like to hear from anyone who handed over cash and/or had dealings with him in that period.

Re. the police, they have to have something substantive to go on first, and then have the wherewithal to dig deep.
I suspect that unfortunately a complaint about being ripped off would just be treated as a Trading Standards matter or whatever.

This is a complicated matter but hopefully it will be a case of "oh what tangled webs we weave" and the seeming deceit that has left people out of pocket might well come back and bite someone on the bum.

Er... your pseudo special edition Japanese mid price saloon is worth less than my SL55 so if I was 'wanting' one I would just buy one. I don't by the way as I have a better car and my teeth aren't be rattled out when I give it a bit of right foot either!

P.S. Not sure why you stupidly decided to bring me into this, but if it's a good old fashioned slanging match you want be my guest!

P.P.S. I think you mean 'pool your resources' not 'pair your resources' in your childish rant btw

So there we have it, fellow Subaru owners.
Mr Haughty has a better car than us, looks down on us mortals.

(Only yesterday this one was making pronouncements about running new members out of town if they mentioned things he diidn't like).

Oh, and that's why.
It's always better to let someone out themselves

A little lesson in life for you:

To a frog, a monkey is clever. To a monkey an average human being is clever and to an average human being someone with an IQ higher than 100 is clever.
It is not clever however to reverse the view and consider those below as inferior.
You, Mr Haughty, might be well-educated and blessed with a higher than average IQ but you would do well to stiffle the superiority complex that the gift has created.

Because there will always be someone greater.

You can return to your intellectual pond now.
