Yes Argos crap was sold in homebase and most of the time the
Rice was higher!
I was expecting the gos to be gone a few years ago but they had 410,million in the bank. This is now less then 300 million and sales are up.... Watch this space though as sales doesn't mean profit.

I would say WH Smiths should be ok, I would like to l think so as they do sell our devices and I believe thier ebook setup is linked to our content system rather than thier own

its a shame that these companies are going but its no surprise really,i used to go into leicester town center to shop nearly every saturday (15+ years ago) but now i have to work most saturdays so i dont find time. plus there is the fuel costs/parking costs and travel time which also put people off,i have just bought 3 new cd's of my favorite bands,i got them delivered to my door from america via online shopping for £25 where if i were to go to hmv it would have cost me £45+ for the discs,£10-£15 fuel and parking and 2-3 hours of my time.....................its a no brainer really,i find it hard to believe that i managed to get all 3 for around £30+ cheaper-delivered to my door from 1000's of miles away rather than driving to leicester to collect them.
i dont even leave the house to do my xmas shopping anymore, not even for cards. who else does this? nearly everything i buy these days i shop around on the internet looking to save money and high street shops just cannot compete with this anymore. im surprised halfords do so well as all i ever hear is bad reviews about them.also im surprised argos do so well as its not a nice experience shopping there.........queue for the book to get the product number, queue to pay for the goods then wait until your purchase arrives.................who wants that hassle these days???
as said its a shame but its no surprise really,i can see alot more going under this year

It is sad to see that so many big stores are closing down. We will tell stories to the due generation that once upon a time, there were places full of goods on high streets where you could go in person, see things with your eyes before making any buys. <sighs>
