Thanks EROS and agree totally but its the subaru price thats putting me off and the fear they have given me about putting on a spoiler without changing the bootlid to a steel item, I would of had Marks like a shot if I could get some sort of guarantee the bootlid wont warp or bend with speed on the spoiler as been told with it being aluminium it wont take the stress of a big spoiler. and to be honest the little spoiler aint floating my boat now. Mark have you fitted any of the big spoielrs to customers cars with the ally bootlid and how long they been fitted for and any notice of bending or warping. I aint implying anything bad about Ht autos but its a lot of money i spent on car and am worried sick.

I know it sound's rough is there no way of making a support inside the bootlid to help hold the spoiler. I didn't know you had to change the bootlid sort of sucks... But still think it look's the mut's nut's...And yes I'm jealous

When I was younger I would of made internal supports for the bootlid mate but now the subaru comes with a 12 year warranty Iy just scares me if anything goes wrong lol.

Wow 12 year's point made. I guess can only do one thing and save your paperround money up now then, and have Subaru do it

12 Years warranty just relates to the corrosion, paintwork is 3 years and you have to pay each time the car is serviced IIRC to have it inspected otherwise its invalid, and I'm sure if you purchased the car secondhand and its had a service already it would not have been done then so already not covered!

The supplied OEM bootlid is steel (as I've drilled mine for the low level spoiler), It's the internal stiffening that is not suitable for the high level spoiler requiring a replacement.
